Fr. John Dear, a Jesuit priest nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his anti-war activities, spoke the other evening at the Democratic National Convention, and is scheduled to speak at my parish prior to the presidential election. Am I wrong to be concerned about a Catholic priest participating in the party nomination of a man with a 100% favorable rating for his abortion votes, or am I over-reacting?

If he is speaking on anti-war activities, then no.
