I see no reason why a 16 year old, who has a hunting license and has passed the hunter safety training classes, can’t go out hunting with his or her friends. We trust them with cars, and statistically cars in the hands of 16 year olds cause far more accidental deaths than do children who are hunting. Why should we not trust responsible teens with guns? Why should my child not be allowed to go into my back “yard” and bring back a pheasant for dinner? Not everyone lives in the city. My back yard is a 30+ acre soybean field, plus several acres of woods, streams and hills. Are you saying she is not safe in my own yard? If you mean to imply that, then maybe I didn’t move far enough outside of Chicago!!!I still don’t see how you get that, do mean that you allow here to go hunting by herself?
