Francis excommunicates Vigano

St Bellarmine said that when a pope becomes a heretic, he ceases being pope, ceases even being Catholic.

I'm going w/ Bellarmine on this one

No real pope would neglect to excommunicate pro-abortion people like Pelosi and Biden and then excommunicate a true Catholic like Vigano and Strickland.

A lot of Catholics do not seem to want to accept the fact that francis is not Catholic, much less is he pope.
But reality does not conform to anyone's wishful thinking

Do not blame the pope for this one, as Vigano answers to him. Pope Francis does not have the time to examine the faith lives of 1.25 billion humans. He must delegate. Blame the delegates. For politicians, excommunication must begin at the local Ordinary (Archbishop). In these cases, their locals are too timid or are employing prudence for some undisclosed reason.

well, I actually blame francis for many things. He is the head of the Vatican, but not the head of the Church. He is not the pope. I doubt anyone anywhere will convince me otherwise. I've read too many interesting documents. And I am scrupulously careful about what I read. i know there are many liars in the world. A real pope does not do and say what F does/says. The Church's enemies planned for centuries to take over the Church and they finally .. more/less succeeded. But again, they took over the Vatican, not the Catholic Church.. (that doesn't appear to make sense, but what is happening in modern times does not make sense. That's why Catholics are largely confused..) Lefebvre wrote a book To Confused Catholics (or something like that)

You are in the website. Last I checked, this is not a soapbox for liturgical extremists, dissident "Protestant" Catholics or any other assemblage of malcontents. There are other sites which will serve your interests far better.

I am going to need to lock this thread. Responses to the papacy of Pope Francis have been varied throughout the Catholic Church, some people think he is amongst the greatest Popes, some find various actions and words of his troubling, and others are somewhere in the middle. I don't think it is the purpose of this forum to call his papacy into doubt or to challenge its validity. As to Bellarmine, his school of thought is only one of many, and Bellarmine by himself is not the magisterium.

Going forward, I would like to see all posters be very temperate in their discussion of the sede vacante thesis, and more to the point, I discourage any advancement of the writings and productions of Most Holy Family Monastery (MHFM). I shall leave this thread intact, but future postings of this nature are subject to deletion.
