Iāve met some of them through our āTheology on Tapā series in our Ct area.There is an authenticity about them you donāt see often. Iāve me other relgious that might have been very holy, but there was a change when they werenāt preaching, they seemed different. Maybe it was just āquirksā but the Franciscans seem so genuine and āon fireā as posted and humble.
I admit, their lifestyle is so austre in some ways, at my āmiddle-ageā years, make me realize how attached we become to thingsā¦living as poorly as they do and to get so many vocations over the years, you know there has to be a lot more. They have no TV, individual phones, internet (no internet!) sleep on the floor, etc.I forgot who puts their web site together, itās not at their firiaries, but Iām grateful for it.
Then nuns are growing tooā¦not to leave them out.
