We don’t have either community in my diocese, would certainly like to see them here. One thing I wonder about; I know both groups strongly prefer the EF, but regard the OF as a fully valid celebration of the Mass.
Do they ever celebrate the OF? For instance, if there are 2 parishes in town, and the pastor of the other parish is sick, would they say the Noon Mass in the other parish, if that Mass is normally said in the OF? I know the argument would be that the sick pastor should call a priest in the next town, but with the priest shortage now, that isn’t always possible.
I am sure the priests sometimes say Mass in the local hospital, or Catholic high school, etc. Are those Masses said in the OF or EF? I suspect the local hospitals would not especially care, but knowing some of the Catholic high schools in my area, I know the people there would have opinions.
I believe there is a Church in Chicago - St. John Cantius? - where they have founded a new religious community that says Mass both ways. I assume that means each priest says Mass both ways, but I am not sure.
