So are you saying the verse I shared is untrue? Hey, it’s not my fault the bible contradicts itself.
No I am saying you do not understand what that verse is trying to say because you are taking it out of context and out of time from which it was written. I am saying you do not wish to understand it based on the teachings of the church that was started by Jesus Christ. You must have help to fully understand every aspect of the bible and only the Catholic or Orthodox churches have been around long enough to know what the ECF and Apostle were teaching about the full scriptures back then. You want to base all of God creation on one verse out of millions and also take it out of context to even strengthen what this one verse says by itself without the rest of the context or knowledge that goes with it.

So you believe that bible verse to be untrue? Just so you can convenience yourself with continuing to believe you have free-will? That my friend, is disingenuous. No matter, I suspect and understand you don’t have the intellectual capacity to understand.
Well… At least we know you had no choice but to be insulting about it…

I prefer viewing it as God already knows every possible result of every possible choice every one of us can make, and it’s when we make a particular choice that sets us on whatever path we choose, with an ability to change that path again later.

I will eat this donut
I won’t eat this donut
→ I ate the donut

I will eat another donut
I will pass on this donut for now, and moderate my donut-eating-ness
I’ll never eat another donut again
→ I ate the donut (If I were to continue down this path, I start to gain weight, the result of the path I chose)

That way, God can predict the path we’re going to take based on past choices, still influence us to a better one, while still leaving us free will, and avoiding the robotic view, and He still knows all the possible paths, forwards and back.

I think someone else started that idea in another post, but it wasn’t well received… but I’m also interested in seeing where the flaws are when Mr. Roboto picks it apart 😉

No doubt friend your assessment of me is correct:thumbsup: However I do accept the Bible is being true, while not always being factual. For example “remove the log from your own eye before you try to remove the speck from your brothers eye.” Mt. 7:3. =True but not factual:rolleyes:

**
Prov.16 Verses 1 to 19: **[1] The plans of the mind belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD. 2] All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit. [3] Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established. [4] The LORD has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble. [5] Every one who is arrogant is an abomination to the LORD; be assured, he will not go unpunished. [6] By loyalty and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for,and by the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil. [7] When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. [8] Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice. [9] A man’s mind plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps. [10] Inspired decisions are on the lips of a king; his mouth does not sin in judgment. [11] A just balance and scales are the LORD’s; all the weights in the bag are his work…[16] To get wisdom is better than gold; to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. [17] The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; he who guards his way preserves his life. [18] Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."

Then add to this: 1 Jn. 1:8-9,[all men are sinners] 1 Jn.5:15-16 [There are sins that are Mortal; as to causing spiritual death] John 20:21:23 **John.20 Verses 19 to 23: [19] On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. **Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” ****

And the very pesky **Matt. 16: 19 ****[19] I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." ** and the other **Matt. 19:17 **[and Jesis speaking] **[17] And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” **

So friend, you say your right which God allows you to do. But one small problem, God Himself does not agree with you:eek:

Love an prayers dear friend
