Do Freemasons really worship Lucifer?
What do freemasons believe?
What do you think of them?

This is probably the wrong place to ask, since Catholics are not permitted to be Freemasons, and so anything we could tell you would be second- or thirdhand information.

Do a web search.

God Bless and ICXC NIKA.

This should truly help: ENCYCLICAL OF POPE LEO XIII ON FREEMASONRY

http://www.michaeljournal.org/images/Leon-XIII.jpg
**"1. The race of man, after its miserable fall from God, the Creator and the Giver of heavenly gifts, “through the envy of the devil,” separated into two diverse and opposite parts, of which the one steadfastly contends for truth and virtue, the other of those things which are contrary to virtue and to truth. The one is the kingdom of God **on earth, namely, the true Church of Jesus Christ; and those who desire from their heart to be united with it, so as to gain salvation, must of necessity serve God and His only-begotten Son with their whole mind and with an entire will. The other is the kingdom of Satan, in whose possession and control are all whosoever follow the fatal example of their leader and of our first parents, those who refuse to obey the divine and eternal law, and who have many aims of their own in contempt of God, and many aims also against God…
  1. The Roman Pontiffs Our predecessors, in their incessant watchfulness over the safety of the Christian people, were prompt in detecting the presence and the purpose of this capital enemy immediately it sprang into the light instead of hiding as a dark conspiracy; and , moreover, they took occasion with true foresight to give, as it were on their guard, and not allow themselves to be caught by the devices and snares laid out to deceive them…
  1. For as soon as the constitution and the spirit of the masonic sect were clearly discovered by manifest signs of its actions, by the investigation of its causes, by publication of its laws, and of its rites and commentaries, with the addition often of the personal testimony of those who were in the secret, this apostolic see denounced the sect of the Freemasons, and publicly declared its constitution, as contrary to law and right, to be pernicious no less to Christiandom than to the State; and it forbade any one to enter the society, under the penalties which the Church is wont to inflict upon exceptionally guilty persons." (Underline emphasis added)
**The term ‘Conspiracy Theory’ is a term developed, popularized and employed by conspirators to ridicule those who are close to uncover their conspiracy to the masses.

To Jesus through Mary 👍

Just so you can see for yourselves. The California Masonic Code which governs all areas of Masonry. washingtonlodge20.org/images/CMC.pdf
Thank you Brother Steve,🙂

I guess we must wonder if this Masonic Code it the only code by which they govern themselves. This could be the version that they have for eyes of the general public and their public image. It is widely held that, since secrecy is their code, there are a lot of concealed statutes that are known only by the members in high degrees.

The Pope’s encyclical HUMANUM GENUS is very enlightenning though.

Literally everyone in my immediate family belongs to the Masonic lodge. None of them worship Lucifer or anything like that. The men are Freemasons. The women belong to the Eastern Star. I’m the only Catholic.

Since I converted to Catholicism, not a single person has tried to hunt me down, etc. The lodge knows where I live and work! They would have plotted my down fall by now.

The way some Catholics react to Freemasons is no different than how anti-Catholic protestants react to us. Pot, meet kettle.

On a side note, no, I don’t belong to the lodge. I’m a female and not forbidden from joining the Eastern Star. I just don’t want to for reasons completely unrelated to religion.

Since Masonry is run from the bottom up, this is the Code that all masons have to operate by without exception. Sorry to break it to you but there are no secret documents other than the ceremonies Masons have. Always remember this; the highest degree in Masonry is the 3rd. (the Scottish Rite has up to 33, the York Rite has 10 more plus honorary bodies, and then there is the Shrine). Yet the Highest Body in Masonry is the Grand Lodge, and the Grand Master only needs to be a Master Mason (and past master of his local lodge). In every Masonic Jurisdiction the Grand Lodge calls the shots… all other bodies exist within that jurisdiction because the Grand Lodge says they can, period.

From what I understand (I have studied the Freemasons a little when I was at university, but only insofar as they influenced some other groups), the Freemasons do not get into the specifics of exactly what they worship, and indeed discourage religious debate amongst their members, but they do require acknowledgement a single supreme being, referred to as the Great Architect of the Universe.

The Freemasons’ own rituals and their links to avowedly magical groups make their ideology deeply suspect. I don’t believe they worship Lucifer - certainly not literally and knowingly - but their understanding of God is so vague and so far from the truth that it is extremely problematic.

I have some sympathy for them - the Great Architect of the Universe sounds familiar, no? - and one might conceivably be a Christian and a Freemason, as Freemasonry doesn’t exclude religious affiliations outside the organisation, but one would have to consent to some very peculiar ideas in order to accomodate the two.

One could not be a Catholic and a Freemason, as the Church has forbidden it.

No, they dont’ worship Lucifer.

I have no idea what they believe.

I think they are old men who do nice things for burned children and kids who need surgery.

Well this is true also. I certainly wouldn’t want to knock their charitable work.

Thanks.

I’m not a freemason, I have no desire to join. I think it’s wonderful they help so many kids and want nothing in return. That is commendable.

It (Freemasonry) might have been something else in the past, but today, it’s basically a group of old men who help kids and play gin rummy at the lodge.

It his not widely held that there are concealed statues. People who are paranoid that the Freemasons are anything but a Fraternity are misguided and fail to realize that historical facts about a group of men do not apply to the men who are today’s members.

As a member of a college secret fraternity, I can tell you that stereotypes and rumors about many fraternities are unfounded and exacerbated by the few fraternity chapters who choose to tarnish the reputations of all fraternities through their misguided actions.

Thanks.

You are deceived. The Freemasons are anti-Catholic. Do not be fooled by their good deeds. The South American drug cartels also do good deeds for the poor, building schools etc.
All these good deeds are to cover up their evil deeds and get people on their side.
Who is really good at doing that? Satan!!

Um…ok.

I understand. It is an assumption that is easy to make based on the ***new image ***that they are trying to project. But it be imprudent if it make us ignore Pope Leo XIII’s Encyclical warning.🤷

But let’s remember strategies: Hitler was only trying to be nice to the German children when he created all those Hitler Youth summer camps in which they learned “friendly” war games. I am sure that many German parents were very impressed and grateful for his generosity… at first!

When you compare something like freemasonry to Hitler, you lose all your credibilty.

And that proves my previous point. There are some Catholics who treat Freemasons the same way anti-Catholics treat us.
