Thank you for the update Brother Jay. I pray daily for his health and your’s.

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favoured with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

(Friar David)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Amen x5

Hail Mary x5

Many of you will remember Friar David, Ocarm, who shared many thoughts here in TC. Not having seen him in awhile, I sent a message to see if he is ok. This is what he has responded:

May God strengthen him and help him heal completely. In your charity, kindly offer a prayer for him in his sufferings. Thanks, everyone.
Rev. Fernando raised someone from the dead in a Canadian Hospital. He has prayed over 5 million Catholics since then, in over 20 countries.

I personally know him; I have seen peoples: eyes, hearding, legs physically restore. What’s really interesting is the fact several people have claimed to have been cleansed of cancer, after he prayed over them.

Get this: I saw to women have apparitions, after he prayed over them at a healing Mass in Washington State; one said she saw an angel, the other said she saw Christ. They were on the floor; I thought they were having convolutions at first, but it wasn’t the case.

He usually tours the USA annually:

P.S. Rev. Fernando will probably become a saint (my opinion).

God bless, Aaron

Brother Jay, do you have an update for us on Friar David?

Still praying for him every day.

Does anyone here know how Friar David is doing? I continue to pray for him every day.

OK Folks! Here it is. I spoke with Brother this evening. It was great to speak to him. It did me a world of good. He sounded great. We were able to speak for about 30 minutes. We compared notes on our respective ailments. It was like a meeting of the American Medical Association. The conversation went something like this:

JR – So what are to taking for this?
Dave – I’m doing this and that. What about you?

JR – Oh, I’m doing A, B, and C.
Dave – But then I go here and there.

JR – Don’t you hate that?
Dave – Sure do.

JR – I guess this is God’s way of teaching us to be as patient as he is.
Dave – It’s also an opportunity to think about our own faults and limitations.

JR – I have too many of those and not enough time to consider them all. Wonder if there is a condensed examination of conscience.
Dave – Laugh

JR – In all seriousness, This is a grace. It’s an opportunity to get an early start on Purgatory and we can’t waste it.
Dave – We’ll certainly learn the importance of letting others be kind to us.

JR – It reminds of Vincent de Paul, “The greatest act of charity is having the humility to accept help.”

Then we spoke about our future, the changes in religious life and the importance of our brothers in our lives. We spent a lot of time on that subject. Being sick is a wonderful opportunity to grow in fraternal charity.

Brother thanks those who are praying for him and who are concerned about him. He sounded much stronger than the last time that I spoke to him. I told him that I have a few packages to mail to him and am waiting for him to return home to the priory. He told me that one of their brothers comes out to the nursing facility daily and the friars come out in a larger group to pray LOTH on Friday. I now have a contact person to receive and deliver packages for Brother.

Brother’s priory is up the street from the friary where I lived when I was a student friar. We were able to talk about school as well. I’m so grateful to you who put the idea to call him again in my mind. It did me a great deal of good to speak to a fellow religious who is in a similar situation and with whom I have other things in common.

We both know that we’re on borrowed time, but our lives are in the hands of Our Lady. When we look up to the sky and see the blue, we are reminded that she covers and protects us with her mantle.
