My DH was recently thrown for a loop by being invited to lunch at Taco Bell on a Lenten Friday. Let’s help each other by listing on this thread some meatless options from the various restaurants, especially the ones who put in a meatless option just for Lent.
Wendy’s comes to mind right away, with their new cod fish sandwich. They’re advertising it as a good alternative to “mystery” fish at the other places.
I checked the Taco Bell online menu and found a half pound bean and rice burrito, a bean burrito, and what looks really, really good, the 7-layer burrito. They have some side dishes that could combine for a meal, too, like pinto beans with cheese and Mexican rice. You can order a Mexican pizza without meat, too. Mmmmm.
Of course, the classic McD Filet-O-Fish.
Burger King near me had a two for $3.33 fish sandwich special.
What else is out there?
