Maybe today is a good day to spend a little time familiarizing (or re-familiarizing) yourself with this good saint. I really attribute to her my return to the faith (through the Holy Spirit).
Heroic and unparalleled in bravery, Mark Twain believed she was the most fascinating human in history (I assume the exclusion of Jesus for such a contest of persons). And even more than all of his well-known and beloved books, the one he wrote about her he said would always be his favorite despite his foreknowledge that it would not be as big of a seller.
What’s especially interesting, if you did not know, is that unlike many other heroes through time that we must rely on tales or anecdotal evidence for, the Maid’s life-story is told to us in a court of law, twice, totally documented and utterly authentic. I could never make a serious argument against her while I was agnostic-- I was mystified and in love with her even while denying what she believed, futilely.
I can’t speak for everything on this site (and you must scroll down below the first parts), but it’s just one of many places you can go to read more about Saint Joan of Arc, la Pucelle d’Orléans!

I just hope that other people can have that difference that she has made and always will make in my life… and can have such a love for her!
Pax Christi, friends… please take some time to learn about her
