WHat should I say? I have a feeling he will throw some social statistics or even corner me and might twist up my words so how do I state my opinion like a civilized and decent human being without sounding too boastful and stuff? What should I say? I only know tht Prop. 8 doesn’t allow same sex Marriage in Cali. How do I defend my faith justly without sounding too judgemental?

Maybe say, you’re praying God’s will be done. And if he ask’s you, what is God’s will? Tell him you’ll get back to him when you find it.
Good luck
God bless you

I like this! You can use it for so many things. 👍

I do not feel the need to respond to these sorts of things on Facebook. I would delete it. I would have a conversation with someone in person or on the phone. I would not debate on Facebook.

Such an unprecedented, divisive, radical and irreversibly society-changing move as the forced destruction and redefinition of marriage needs long and careful study before any thought of enactment. It needs logic and reason to be applied, and not emotional arguments about “fairness.” What is “fair” for society? What about the diminishing next generation that these “barren-by-design” relationships will bring about? What about the damaging effects upon the adopted children? I thought that everything was done “for the children”, but this harms them, while making a selfish personal and political statement.

There is not a single society in recorded human history which has allowed such relationships and has persisted. It is a mark of a degenerating civilization - it may not be the cause of that degeneration but rather, one of the symptoms.

Did he really post it on your wall, or is it something that is posted on his own wall and showed up on your newsfeed?

If it’s the former, that’s really rude. If he wanted to discuss it with you personally, he should have messaged you.

If it’s the latter, just ignore.

I guess, either way, ignore. Or delete.

This!

.
Actually, that’s not true.
The Native American Indians have a very, very long history of what they called “two-spirit” people–homosexual/transgender community members very common in their tribes who could marry their own gender.
It was all very embraced and peaceful and understood.
And it may have “persisted”, to use your word, had the majority of these people not been massacred by colonialists.

Here’s one site with info…but there is a lot all over the internet:

You are kidding.

So, the Americas were a gay panacea until whitey arrived?

I completely agree.

Facebook simply isn’t the place for this. Discuss it in person or if that’s impractical you could send a private message. But nothing that will be seen by others and is likely to degenerate into little more than bickering…which is what many facebook posts tend to do (and forum threads of course).

callmeChris, What is your opinion? We can’t really help you express your opinion well if we don’t know what it is.

I am against gay marriage and homosexuality as it is an abomination in the eyes of the Eternal Father
