Yeh, I really enjoyed this article. I especially liked her point that it is unreasonable to look at a billboard, containing much simpler information than DNA, and assume that it was created by wind and erosion. And yet, many atheists assume that the information carried by DNA was created out of nothing. How is that rational?
 
i too thank you for posting that article. the truth pouring out from her experiences just felt so good to read. Catholicism is so profoundly intellectual. i hope she can now help other “reasonable” people wade through the numerous errors and distortions that float around.

I really enjoyed the article. I’ve always believed that it takes much more “faith” to be an atheist than it does to be a Catholic. To think that the great complexity of human life came about solely by chance and natural selection requires a lot of “faith” if you ask me. Still, I know plenty of atheists who will defend that belief with all their heart. The fact that there has been so much focus on evolution in academia suggests that for a lot of people it is very important to try to prove that there is no God. Think of all the time, money and effort spent trying to dig up missing links. Evolution is almost treated as a religion itself by some people. (By the way, I believe that certain aspects of evolution took place, but that the process was part of God’s design).

I think that there is a common misconception out there that science goes against religion. In academia and in the mainstream media, that is certainly the case. In reality, there have been plenty of brilliant Catholics over the centuries who have helped guide us to the truth.
