I’m sure this made news when he retired from baseball, but this seems to be an update. It’s inspiring.

On the morning Grant Desme ceased to exist, he was at peace. He spent years searching for serenity, convinced it was coming soon, next, now. It never did. Life was a blaring stereo, and he had become numb to its noise. The sound finally abated when he arrived here. He believed God muted it.

I just read that story earlier, amazing. I had never heard of him before today. May God continue to bless and strengthen Frater Matthew.

Yes, it really was a great and surprising article, considering that it wasn’t from a religious news source. I had never heard of him, either, until last night. A funny thing is that I never click on the sports section of Yahoo. It was an accident. I had almost clicked back when the picture caught my eye.
