DH and I were unevenly yoked when we were first married (both Catholic, but he was way more cafeteria). I prayed hard and learned when to bite my tongue and when there was an opportunity to make a brief witness (like one sentence).

Now we’re on the same page.

@halogirl

I know someone whose husband entered the Catholic Church after 15ish years of marriage. For many years the husband went to Mass with the wife and children, prayed the Rosary with the family every night, went up at Communion time for a blessing etc. The husband was very very interested in anything to do with Fatima on EWTN and would always stop what they were doing to watch it. This wife also put a green scapular inside their husbands’ pillow case and combined with all this, the wife praying for the husband to convert, it was not long afterwards that he did convert! Personally I think Our Lady of Fatima had a lot to do with it!

So never give up praying, don’t stop petitioning God. Perhaps you could pray the rosary together if he is agreeable?

He didn’t go up for a blessing either which he could have done.
Oh goodness, please let him do what he thinks best. First of all, the communion line is for communion. Secondly, if he doesn’t want to receive a blessing from the priest that is his business!
He’s wonderful but I’m just getting worried I’m always gonna be that lady at mass without her husband
You may be.

You didn’t marry a Catholic. You need to accept your husband AS HE IS.

If the Holy Spirit moves him toward conversion that is wonderful. But if not, you need to accept that.
