I was actually going to post on this a few mintues ago but did not want to seem uncharitable or that I was posting just to be contrarian.
Deo makes a good point though…
It is the Bishop’s decision as to where the FSSP goes and St. Francis de Sales (FFSP) in Mableton, Georgia is in a converted Baptist Church. It’s basically a steel building to which a suitable altar, communion rail, and the requisite statues and pews have been added. It has been beautified to the extent that a steel box is able to be beautified but the architecture isn’t exactly traditional.

I meant when they build or majorly renovate a church for themselves, they always go for the traditional look. They certainly do offer masses in modernistic buildings, but these are never constructed by them. They are existing structures. But as far as I know, the FSSP and ICKSP haven’t built many new churches.I can’t speak for the other, but the church architecture is not always traditional for where the FSSP offer Mass. While the parish I attend is not hideously modern, it’s definitely not traditional. Where the FSSP offer Mass is either wherever the Bishop assigns them, or wherever a Latin Mass community exists.
I am familiar with the converted Baptist church (I find this sublimely ironic!) in GA. It isn’t the most beautiful by any means, but they have done a good job, as you say, of beautifying it as much as a steel box can be beautified.
