Deo gratias! I love this holy and friendly man. All saints can be discerned primarily by the great joy they showed in public. St. Philip Neri, and so many others retained happiness even when in agony. Let’s hope that, one day soon, we can say “St. Fulton Sheen, ora pro nobis”!
The theme for our parish’s Lenten Symposium this year was “Sainthood”
One of the speakers was Fr. Andrew Apostoli, vice-postulator for the Cause for +Sheen. He gave a great talk on the life of Archbishop Sheen and the lessons we can learn from him in our own path to Sainthood.
Other speakers include the postlators for the causes of Fr. Solanus Casey and Fr. John Harden, a Msgr, from Rome who works in for the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, well as Bishop Sample from the diocese of Marquette, MI on the cause of Bishop Baraga.
