In Switzerland it is illegal to own just one guinea pig.
This is because guinea pigs are social animals, and they are considered victims of abuse if they are alone.

Why isn’t this a law everywhere?!

We already have too many laws for animal happiness, and too few for human beings.

Cats do not meow to each other, but only to human beings.

In November, Germans celebrate St. Martin–a knight who shared his cloak with a beggar–with a lantern-lit parade, sweets and steaming hot chocolate.
 
In Sicily, St. Martin day was the day that the wine was fermented enough to be considered wine.

It was celebrated by drinking wine and having roasted meats. (At least in my dad’s town)
