Two world wars and still we haven’t learnt!! What will it take?
You’re just a Celestial traveler, be concerned about getting back to your true home in Heaven.🙂

**Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

John 18:36**

Joey I’m not interested in personal salvation I’m interested in world salvation. The people out there, the suffering, the poor they matter much more than my salvation.

Education is the only hope. Not education to become rich with money. Not education to see yourself as having claim over Truth. Education that enables you to change the world SUSTAINABLY.

Hanan al Hroub, and Pope Francis agree:

Yes education. Spiritual education to love all humanity and all come together to help us get to a better place.

Personal salvation and world salvation are not in conflict with each other.Personal salvation leads to world salvation, example… when you pray for others, you are also praying for yourself, and when you help the needy, you are helping God.

**And the King shall answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these my brothers, you have done it to me.

Matthew 25:40

Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.

Proverbs 14:31

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.

Proverbs 19:17**

Excellent! I’ll keep a copy of those quotes!! Really like them.

There are many people in this world that are poor and needy and such a small few share the majority of the wealth. How is this going to be reconciled?

Jesus said “you’ll always have the poor with you, but you’ll not have me always”, so even that time the expensive oil was used to honour Jesus.

But Jesus is the Saviour of the World. God cannot be mocked. We have to help the poor, just as Jesus asked to follow his commandments. That’s no. 1, the Poor then become 2nd.

With no. 1 only one can help the poor, because all our mind should be how to get everyone into Heaven. And we have to love another as Jesus loved.

So, it all comes down to fight for Truth, the Way and the Life (eternal) and spread the Gospel.

Keep in mind when we do this, the battle between flesh and spirit will be cut like a sword. Man against Son, Mother against Daughter, etc but when our minds are about getting to Heaven we must do the work, like helping the poor and suffering!

Considering how the divide in Rich and Poor grow each day and there is a large population out there, I would suggest it is much like saying the following;

I can drive my Car from my big house, drink my coffee at the restaurant for lunch go for a ski behind my boat on the weekend as long as I am a good Christian trying hard to convert souls. (P/S Applicable to all Faiths)

Does not the world need this

Luke 14:12-14 "He said also to the man who had invited him, “When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.”

or more of this

Luke 12:33-34 “Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”.

If there is but one poor person on this planet, should not the rest of the world want to help that one poor and in doing so help that person to see God in the charity given to them?

One of the symptoms of this decaying world is that we have lost reality as to what it is to give our all in Love to Jesus the Christ.

This is a tangent and you’ve picked up verses as if it responds to Jesus talking when followers of Jesus complained :

6 While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, 7 a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.

8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. 9 “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”

This happened a few days before the Jewish pasch when Jesus crucifixion was nearing so the woman did the right thing.

Think of this first don’t jump to unrelated things. Plus there’s more dimension to this.

Yes many more dimensions and all we have to consider. Action is louder than words.

Why don’t you share with us your understanding of this Martin?

My understanding is that the intent behind the action of the woman was one of praise and glorification of the Lord of mankind.

In the eyes of God, that intention is praiseworthy.
The disciples looked at the act and judged it rather than the intention.

There seems to be a odd gap of What you are saying. What is the meaning of Lord of Mankind to you and why you termed it here suddenly. Not sure where your understanding is.:hmmm:

What are you talking about? Explain these dimensions in relation to the Luke verses you threw in after my mention of the oil on Jesus and connection with the poor.:hmmm:

The Lord of mankind is the Word, the Eternal Logos in heaven, and at the writing of Johns Gospel, that Word was made flesh in the Person called Jesus.

Do you read and reflect on Baha’i posts here Martin?

I apologise if we are so terrible in our explanation of Baha’i teachings. We are only trying our very best, but it requires a listening ear too 🙂

Wrong. There are not two Persons Jesus.

Why should I read being a Baptised Catholic?

What did he say about Jesus when had oil put on him,? You tell me.

This should be interesting.

I don’t respond to patronising posts.

Thankyou but your “this should be interesting” is rude and condescending.

Thankyou 🙂

Was reading this and it makes perfect logical sense;

“31. There are four causes of infidelity and loss of belief in Allah: hankering after whims, a
passion to dispute every argument, deviation from truth; and dissension, because whoever
hankers after whims does not incline towards truth; whoever keeps on disputing every
argument on account of his ignorance, will always remain blind to truth, whoever deviates
from truth because of ignorance, will always take good for evil and evil for good and he will
always remain intoxicated with misguidance. And whoever makes a breach (with Allah and
His Messenger) his path becomes difficult, his affairs will become complicated and his way to salvation will be uncertain”.

Taken from the “Nahjul Balagah”.

Many passages in the Bahai writings that also say things along this line. Thus must take time out to consider this advice.

O My Brother! Until thou enter the Egypt of love, thou shalt never come to the Joseph of the Beauty of the Friend; and until, like Jacob, thou forsake thine outward eyes, thou shalt never open the eye of thine inward being; and until thou burn with the fire of love, thou shalt never commune with the Lover of Longing.

Wherefore must the veils of the satanic self be burned away at the fire of love, that the spirit may be purified and cleansed and thus may know the station of the Lord of the Worlds. The Seven Valleys of Baha’u’llah)

Until one forsake their outward eyes as a means for determining truth, one’s inner eyes will never be opened.

And until one burns away the satanic self one cannot know the Lord of the Worlds.
