Gay and lesbian Christians have criticised secularists planning to protest during the pope’s visit to Britain for their “unhelpful and counterproductive” tactics.
The Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement (LGCM) said that it wanted papal critics – who are voicing their opposition to this month’s state visit for a number of reasons, including the Vatican’s rejection of equal rights for homosexuals – to "disagree with respect

🙂 Sounds like they get that you catch more flies with honey.

What does their sexuality have to do with the message? Any realistic Christian who loves his fellow human beings would prefer respectful commentary to riots and such tactics. To be honest, the fact of these peoples’ homosexuality has exactly nothing to do with the issue at hand. Let them be anathema for being so proud of themselves (in declaring who they are attracted to while declaring the way they argue).

Their sexuality has a lot to do with the issue at hand since the main branch of protesters they are attempting to discourage is the gay rights protesters. Also their goal is to have their sexuality be more accepted by the Church so it is more than sensible for them to declare their sexuality. They want the Pope to see people who are practicing homosexuals AND loving Christians, and to understand their pain.

Sadly I have to add to this post that I am not voicing support for the practicing of homosexuality but merely trying to explain these peoples viewpoint because if I failed to mention it I am sure someone who construe my words to mean that I think the Church should permit or even encourage gay relationships.
