The linked essay is disgusting, small minded, and hate filled. Further, it’s just bad logic. Two cancellations that happened to include characters with themes related to particular individuals do not a backlash make.
I don’t think I’m the only one who gets offended with this junk. And yes, I won’t watch tv shows with these themes, or the movies he mentions.
I feel sorry for the so called transgendered children because they have parents who feed into this thinking and instead of believing test all children differ in their likes and dislikes, such as girls liking boy things and boys liking doe girl things,let their children decide what gender they should be instead of getting them help or better yet leaving them alone.
I have a very good example of this. We raised a daughter who in today’s culture would be considered transgender by some. She was not a tomboy,but gated girly things and dresses.
She loved to play with trucks and cars. She built model airplanes in middle school . While in elementary school I was always getting asides from teachers who noticed “she didn’t comb her hair”. Probably now she’d be sent to a counselor of some kind. Oh, and she l loved taking things apart like her bikes.
By the tine she grew into her teens, she then did like boys and dating but still loved ships. She ended up joining the Navy, and trained in electronics and eventually became a computer analyst after leaving. She’s now married to a retired Naval officer and now she takes computers apart and modifies them.
And yes at times she expressed a desire to be a boy when she was little but instead of freaking out just realized every child is different. So maybe that’s why I think this who,e trans thing is out of line and get disgusted with people saying its normal.
Guess I’m part of the backlash and proud of it too.
