In addition she has been recognized by at least two dissident groups, Dignity USA, an organization devoted to promoting Catholic acceptance of homosexuality, to “counter the narrative of the Catholic Church” on same-sex relationships, and Call to Action which promotes all manner of dissent from fundamental church teachings.

It gets even worse. In 2014, she signed a letter to President Obama urging him to expand U.S. funding of abortion services in foreign countries. See here,** here** and here.** Even Wikipedia mentions this. The following is a link to a pro choice religious group that has the actual letter with all those who signed it at the end. She’s the ninth signature down. Read here.

Her run-ins with the Church have a long history. Read here*.* It seems that the efforts by the Church to reach them have gone largely ignored.
