What does this therapy do? I’m confused, does it change sexuality or not?
It was marketed as such ~10 years ago. It failed on that promise. It’s now marketed as supporting a chaste lifestyle and healing risk factors (.e.g historic abuse).

There can definately be some healing. My same sex attractions have gone way down. And When I’m in the right mood I’ve had an inkling of opposite sex attraction. Also, When I’m in the right mood, I’ve had an inkling of disgust towards homosexual acts. It’s not gonna be a switch flip though. But this is all from doing just a small bit of catholic counseling which ended pretty quickly, and then following along the book I have, by myself, so I think there’s more healing that can keep happening, though its a lifelong process.
Really? That’s interesting, gives me hope. Thanks! Can I have a link for that book?
And I need some friends for support and challenge me. Unfortunately I’m still pretty alone, without close friends, struggling to overcome some issues without any support, albeit online. So its slow going and difficult, And it can relapse sometimes, but the more you deal with it, the less easy it is to come back, its always gonna leave a mark.
True. I’ll pray for you

I don’t think so-called gay “marriage” is going to be legal in Germany for much longer.

It’s not a sin period. It’s really important to make that distinction.

Fornication was always considered sinful. No one needed to be told it’s sinful.

The LGBT activists (and the Democratic Party as its arm) wants to push its agenda into every aspect of society and call it a “civil right”. People are deceived into thinking evil is good.

People need to be told homosexual behavior is sinful because they don’t know or choose to ignore it.

Sigh

My Catholic school has an LGBT page in its yearbook. If I said anything id probably be kicked out as editor .

But anyway I agree. Almost every part of mainstream society is surrendering to this idealogy

I agree with all that. But what to do in reality: Would you turn down a homosexual couple approaching a priest, asking for a blessing? This could very well estrange them for good.
Is keeping to the law to the last letter worth risking to lose them? You say it is not a sin to have SSA, but homosexual union is. I think this is an easy thing to say as long as you are not affected. It is liking saying: You are what you are, but you are not allowed to live what you are.

I am not sure what you mean? Are you talking about the relative rise of the percentage of Muslim population?

I would not expect a priest to give a blessing to a homosexual couple anymore than I would a heterosexual one cohabitating with each other.

Relative rise? Do you have to mitigate what is happening already?

I have SSA. If I were living in ignorance and approached a priest for a blessing as a homosexual couple, I should hope the priest would kindly inform me why he can’t and give reasons why the Church does not approve of homosexual lifestyle.

There is the personal choice to accept or reject Church teaching.

We should pray for the grace that those who do not know better would seek, find, and accept the truth instead of trying to change Church teachings and practices to suit human sensibilities.
