It was reported on Good Morning America this morning that there will be a movie upcoming about two gay cowboys. It is being billed as being a “love story”. I didn’t catch the name, but stay tuned. There will plenty of discussion about it. Would any body go to such a movie? I won’t.

The movie is called Brokeback Mountain. I saw the preview over Thanksgiving. The preview alone was disturbing enough to make me not want to watch this movie. Both of the men live heterosexual lives and have wives and children. Then each year they go on “fishing” trips to see each other.

Even if it had an interesting story line I would not support such entertainment :tsktsk:

I refuse to see this even though I think Jake Gyllenhaul (sp ?) is a very good actor.
I saw Siskel & Ropert on Sunday giving it 2 thumbs up and Ropert saying, “If you have a problem with the fact that this is a love story between 2 men, get over it!”
I will not “get over it”.
Obvoiusly, the “gay” agenda has plowed it’s way into the mainstream.

The gay agenda is overpowering the mainstream, because any opposition to allowing gays to “live free” and flaunt their lifestyle is condemned.

Harvey Fierstein, a gay actor who does drag will be starring in a new Fox “comedy” next season. He will be playing someone’s mother; in drag of course.

Can’t wait for that. Betcha it wins lots of Emmy’s because it will hyped as “bold and innovative”!

Aren’t Emmy’s for daytime entertainment (i.e. TV)? I think Oscars are for movies . . .

I think the poster was referring to the new Harvey Fierstein TV show.

If the theme of the movie is ‘fight for what you believe in’, like homo ‘love’ or affection is soooo right, I’d trash it. No need to support their deranged believe!

Gay Cowboys? A strong wtf? Movies are so crazy today. Truthfully I don’t think I would see it if it were about heterosexual cowboys, cowboy movies are kinda dead. There needs to be more movies about mountain men who can throw a knife into the jugular of a bear from 50 yards away. How come nobody films these great men!

Should a movie ever advocate homosexuality no. Try doing that in front of Martin Luther King and we’ll see what happens.

Maybe people shouldn’t pass judgment about the movie without actually seeing it. Radical idea, I know.

The movie is supposed to be very well done, and it’s directed by Ang Lee. Is your fear that, by seeing it, you might feel a little tiny bit of sympathy to gays, or at least gay cowboys?

I’m going to see it to make up my own mind. I don’t want to depend on some one else’s review. Ang Lee is a great director and I think it will be worth it.

I heard that Hollywood is really gonna Hype the gay agenda in their movies starting now and throughout '06.

(BTW, no one complains about Vermont Teddy Bear and their 'Alternative Lifestyle bears when they advertise on the radio?)

This is just one of the many reasons we don’t attend movies anymore. Most of it is just trash.

I think the subject is ridiculous: COWBOYS that are GAY…

I cannot imagine John Wayne walking into the tavern, grabbing a few shots, and then walking over to the piano player and asking him “Who does you hair” or “Let’s head over to my place and i’ll pour us some wine and we can lay by the fire on my bearskin rug”.

Geesh…silly cowboys.
