"For to protest against Pope Benedict’s scandalous statement on condoms our LGBT and anti-AIDS associations are organizing a “Drag Mass” on Sunday 29th March at 10:30am in the grounds of the Our Lady’s Basilica of Fourvière with the slogan: “La capote c’est la vie, l’Eglise l’interdit”.

For to denounce the irresponsibility of the Pope in the face of AIDS and his unenlightened, dogmatic and reactionary positions our associations call on all persons scandalized by such a statement to attend our “Drag Mass”.

Lord save us…

I was thinking that we should pray that they don’t find a priest so that they couldn’t transsubstantiate the Hosts…but now I’m wondering if Jesus wouldn’t have gone there when He was on Earth. I think He would have.

Still, I’m almost betting that most of the people there don’t even consider the Church a divine institution. This is being done out pure spite.
 
O most Merciful Father, have mercy on them. Bring them back to you, ignite in their hearts a true spirit of penance and love. O Most Immaculate and Holy Mary intercede for us and present these petitions to the Throne of your Son, our Lord ans Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

I could put on a tutu and dance on my toes, but it would not be a ballet. They can pretend to be priests and mock the mass, but it will be just that–a mockery. They deserve our pity and our prayers.

I’d say they’re not “gay” at all but rather “ticked off.” I’ve always said gay is an improper term when directed to homosexuals. They are NOT happy. They are some of the most miserable people on the planet.

I hope the faithful Catholics of France know that our hearts and prayers are with them.
Does the Church not have the right to throw them off their grounds in France?

These days, I offer more prayers of reparation than any other.

This is yet another example of the new schismatic/dissident mindset unleashed by the “spirit of VII”. And they are doing it during Lent. Lord have mercy on their souls.
 
I really don’t understand…maybe I have not see all that the Holy Father said on condoms not being sufficient or effective to combat AIDS (HIV, STD, etc.). I thought that the Holy Father was talking about all persons in Africa…but principally he was talking about heterosexual single and married persons who are being told that AIDS & HIV can be safely avoided by using condoms. Did the Holy Father say something specific against the Gay Community?..in France?..or anywhere else in the world?

If nothing else, we should hope that they don’t find a priest because of the peril to their souls of taking the Eucharist in an unworthy state. Eating and drinking their own condemnation in the sight of the Living God.

I will pray in reparation for the evil of desecrating the Mass. Christ, Himself, initiated the Mass at the Last Supper & people who mimic it are committing the greatest sacrilege possible.

Traditional Catholics are organizing a counter-demonstration, similar to the one that took place in Paris.
All Catholics unable to join this counter-demonstration are exhorted to offer up prayers, particularly ones of reparation:

"O Sacred Heart of Jesus, animated with a desire to repair the outrages unceasingly offered to Thee, we prostrate before Thy throne of mercy, and in the name of all mankind, pledge our love and fidelity to Thee.

The more Thy mysteries are blasphemed, the more firmly we shall believe them, O Sacred Heart of Jesus!

The more impiety endeavors to extinguish our hope of immortality, the more we shall trust in Thy Heart, sole Hope of mankind!

The more hearts resist Thy Divine attractions, the more we shall love Thee, O infinitely amiable Heart of Jesus!

What they are doing is surprisingly similar to a black mass - an intentional mockery of the Mass. You are right - it is the greatest blasphemy imaginable. I am sure we could not imagine the torments of divine justice that will be visited on these guilty souls in Purgatory or in Hell.

All the more reason to remember even in the midst of our anger directed at the mockery, to pray for their conversion or repentance.

I’m not Roman Catholic, but I personally find this to be disgusting. God have mercy on these people and their families.
