Because without the high profile of the RCC to rail against, they’d be just another bunch of down in the mouth, sour grapes, malcontents.

Let’s face it would anyone pay one minute of attention to the likes of Dan Maguire, Richard McBrien, Chittister and Kissling without the RCC???

These people want to force their wills (& satans) on the world, & they are seen as “social activists” & fighters for “rights”. Yet, when a Christian stands up for justice (against abortion or the sanctity of marriage) we are called “evil”.

This world is in a great need of cleansing.

these movements (?) with their ever increasing boldness, are inherently self destructive. i think/hope that the majority of the world will not tolerate this insanity. enough people will rise up against this.

how can they expect to be respected when they get violent? I guess it is tough to be merciful at times.
How hypocritical when they publicly announced that they would not force their agenda on churches. Everything they do is always opposite of what they say.
I think the least the Vatican should do is post Swiss guards at the churches as security, so the gays will know better than to mock and enter a church.
Example: Prime Minister Paul Martin (who claims to be Catholic) supports gay marriage. Paul Martin enters church. Swiss guards prohibit his entrance and participation in the church. Guards present written form of excommunication signed and sealed by the pope acknoledging excommunication.
Result: Paul Martin is no longer allowed to show his face in any Catholic church whatsoever until he redeems hinself and goes to church for the right reasons. Any priest that allows anyone entering a church wearing their sashes or giving communion should be facing serious disciplinary action for failing to uphold God’s laws. Simple as that. That’s what I would propose if I were the pope. We have to flex our muscles here. :mad:

Exactly, and the same goes for Gary Wills and Pope Pius XII defamers, but this gives me a chance to announce what some posters may have missed!

Human Life International gave its very first Millstone Award this year. It is designed for “theological frauds” who fit the description in Luke 17:1-2, and who, in leading others astray give great scandal! The recipient for this, the very first year of the award, is none other than Father (?) Richard McBrien.

I think you have suggested excellent candidates for the coming years.

A most worthy recipient - have you read his column on reduction of priest pensions which I have posted earlier this week? Obvioiusly he doesn’t like living “poor” either–He doesn’t have the “charism”. But I love the “millstones” awards - great stuff!!!
 
Since this was obviously an act of violence and sacrilege against a Catholic temple- does anyone know if this would require that some Mass in reparation be celebrated, or even the if the Cathedral would need to be reconsecrated? Such a Mass was celebrated a few years ago when someone shot himself in St. Peter’s Basilica, I just don’t remember if it was an act of reparation or if it was an actual reconsecration or rededication of the Basilica.

Does anyone know if President Chirac, or at the very least, the French hierarchy, condemned this? This is really an outrageous attack against the Church in France, the “eldest daughter” of the Church, and for the entire Church! I hope that this is condemned and treated as the “hate crime” that it is.
 
It is amazing that homosexuals, being such a small percentage of human beings can get so much attention with their temper tantrums.
 
These Gay Activists and their Feminazi counter parts will have a nice warm place waiting for them in Hell.
