Gay pride event in our town

They are allowed free speech.

If you would like to engage to demonstrate the virtues of Catholic Christianity, I suggest a ‘Jesus love you’…or something to that effect… too often there are sodom and gomorrah themed messaging

I was expressing what my eyes see, outwardly, when I observe the fruits/actions of others in the world.
At the end of each day I perform an Examination of Conscience, using the10 Commandments as the basis of Truth. In this I turn my eyes “inward”, & with God’s Grace, He shows me where I’ve missed His Ideals in that day.

Just stating official Catholic doctrine. You’re free to believe or not believe anything you want, but your argument is not with me, but with the Church.

Would it be a deadly sin if someone said that they’re “proud to be an American”? There’s a song by Lee Greenwood with that title with the lyrics:

And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.

I agree. The prince of this world is the devil, and he wants confrontation. He is the power behind these homosexual displays. Better to spend the energy praying.

Yes. Those who argue that God approves of homosexual behaviour or any other mortal sin are reinventing a god in their own image.
 
Yes. And the open flaunting of wickedness takes the term “pride” to a whole new level.

There is no reason for Christians to inflict pain on anyone. Love is what draws souls in. 
  It’s a quandary. David called out to God to smite Saul. I never liked the kill them God prayers.  SIGH!  
   With things as they are politically, I find myself in alignment w David. God, we hope You are guiding us in Your will. Helps us understand what it is.

Going contrary to God’s ways is sin, if you’re aware that it is against God. The Bible is a wealth of knowledge on sin; this means it’s not a “people” opinion, but a God. “opinion”, which is Truth. Offensive? Take it up with God.
 
Those parades are public nudity, & arrests should be made. When the camera operator has to blur images to be shown on air, that proves the point. Disgusting.
 
And some people take children to watch these scandalous events, or even to march in them. 😠

My coworker brought his twin sons and wife up to ‘P-town’ , in Massachusetts - Cape Cod.
He was shocked at how open and brazen the gay scene there was - and their swim wear -
his sons were mortified - he kept shaking his head, repeating " never again "
 
I don’t get that at all. It’s in there with the worst parenting of all! Sick & hurtful.
 
Why didn’t he round 'em up, & get away? Back in the 60’s (remember the Catholic movie/book list, don’t watch don’t read?) My older sister told Dad that movie, “What’s New Pussycat?”, was good she heard. Our fam of 5 drove 1&1/2 h. to get there, there was a shower scene in the first 5 minutes. Dad gathered us up, & we walked out. He didn’t even ask for money back. That was before movie ratings.

Why don’t some of you judging people start living your christian faith and start praying for the people that have this lifestyle instead of condemning them and think they are the worst human beings on the planet??? You don’t know what got them to that point and I am so glad and thankful that your sins aren’t nearly as bad. Thank God that I am not like that sinner. I go to mass. I pay my tithes etc. etc. Really Holy aren’t we???
