You only took a slice of my note… I stand by my point, it’s better to help people understand God’s love and what they should do by example than yelling at them about what they shouldn’t do…

… or you can take a post out of context and make a misleading post.

But I agree with you that you either accept it all or nothing… The God man spent a lot of time dining and hanging out with prostitutes, tax collectors, those skipping the sabbath, etc… he didn’t throw them out, he engaged
 
Yes. During Jesus encounter with the adulteress, how did He dismiss her? Jesus said, “Go & sin no more”. Jesus told her to change her ways. He loved her enough, to NOT leave her in her sin. What did she do? Scriptures don’t say. She could’ve chosen to “hate” Jesus, for not accepting her, & her sinful ways, like sinners of today. Jesus way was to educate her, in the ways of Truth before dismissing her back into the world.
 
Maybe instead of trying to oppose it you should attend and see if you can learn something from your fellow human beings.
 
Why would you advise someone to “learn” mortal sin?

I probably wouldn’t go. I already know that one should treat others with compassion and love. I also know when to say that I don’t agree with someone’s life choices because I believe marriage is only between a man and a woman

I wouldn’t go either. Not your place to join a parade but sure wouldn’t hurt sharing some of that love and compassion on the grounds of your church. Pray, say the Rosary, bottles of water etc. I had 2 Catholics that are truly compassionate and showed the love of Christ to me enough that I wanted to change. I am struggling but trying with the help of God’s grace and mercy. They told the truth of the Catholic church and God’s commandments firmly but with love. Love makes all the difference.

Having a homosexual inclination is not a sin. Acting on that inclination, i.e. homosexual activity, is mortally sinful.
Obstinate and persistent refusal to accept Church moral teaching is heresy. This includes moral teaching on human sexuality.

How is what you said any different from what I said? Also… how do you think what you just wrote is the same as what you wrote before… you know, where you thought that simply attending an event is a mortal sin?
 
Just be glad we were spared seeing some of the other groups in this prideful parade. Men obscenely mocking Catholic sisters for example.

So are all non-Catholics who refuse to accept the moral teachings of the Catholic Church heretics?

I don’t understand what you’re saying here. Are you saying that all the gay people who attend LGBT pride events are heretics because they obstinately refuse to accept the moral teachings of the Catholic Church? I attended a pride event last year. Would you consider me a heretic?
