I think there’s only one living witness to that and, unless there are mind readers on the prosecutor’s side, that’s the only story that will be told about how this started.

There’s still the old refrain, wrong place, wrong time.
Of course it is/was George who put himself there.

WHY was he out of his vehicle?
WHY was he so close to Trayvon?

Ah, but he doesn’t have to answer those questions.

The prosecutor can speculate all day long, but her imagination isn’t evidence in court.

He doesn’t have to answer, but that won’t prevent the jury from coming to a decision. Even people who don’t testify can get convicted.

Is you assumption that Zimmerman will NOT
truthfully answer such questions? If so, interesting.

I’m picturing the OJ trial all over again. Think of it! The pagentry, the glamor! 24 hour news feeds! Continuous commentary on all sides! It will be spectacular!

Are you saying that only a person looking for violence leaves their vehicle when they know a black man is running around?

I think you may be correct. It is quite a flip-flop to go from this:

"Trayvon Martin’s mom says she thinks his killing was an ‘accident’

Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton told the TODAY show Thursday that she believes her son’s fatal shooting by George Zimmerman was an accident.

“I believe it was an accident, I believe that it just got out of control and he couldn’t turn the clock back," she said. “I would ask him, ‘Did he know that that was a minor, that that was a teenager and that he did not have a weapon?’” she added.”…

to this:

“George Zimmerman stalked my son and murdered him in cold blood.”

and this:

“When I referenced the word ‘accident’ today with regard to Trayvon’s death, in NO way did I mean the shooting was an accident,” Fulton said.

“My son was profiled, followed and murdered by George Zimmerman, and there was nothing accidental about that,” she said, clarifying that the “accident” was that Martin and Zimmerman ever crossed paths.

I’m thinking maybe the prosecution influenced her to retract her accident statement since the affidavit contends Zimmerman provoked the confrontation with Martin.

He’s made his statement. GZ says TM approached him and initiated violence as he was heading back to his truck. GZ says that he was afraid for his life as TM was on top of him, beating him.

Why would he say anything else? The burden to prove otherwise is on the prosecution. And from what I’ve seen in the police reports the evidence supports GZ’s side.

I honestly don’t see how the government is going to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Since he was packing a loaded gun,
he must have felt quite safe following the
“suspicious” stranger. Still have to ask:
why was he out of his vehicle?

Also what does BLACK have to do with it???

I don’t know. Honestly I would clam up. I’ve been on both sides and talking after you’ve made a good statement is generally a bad idea.
