I have to admit that I’m almost stunned to see certain words
in a legal document regarding the Zimmerman-Martin case.

cbsnews.com/htdocs/pdf/Zimmerman_Probable_Cause_Document.pdf?tag=contentMain;contentBody

It states that Zimmerman profiled Martin.
It states that Zimmerman confronted Martin.
It states that Zimmerman while talking about Martin stated “these a------s, they
always get away” and also "these f------ punks.

It states that Zimmerman disregarded the police dispatcher
and continued to follow Martin who was trying to return to his home.

Although many posters have mentioned such details,
it is almost shocking to see the details lined up in an affidavit.

Even more than the spelled-out vulgarities
is the use of the term “profiled” adding that “Martin
was unarmed and not commiting a crime.” In print too
is the fact that “Zimmerman disregarded the police dispatcher.”

Quite a staggering affidavit, IMO.
i’d also like to point out that they did not say he was racially profiling.

Note that the affidavit explicitly states that it is “…not a complete recitation of all the pertinent facts and evidence…” It gave just enough information to provide probable cause for a charge of second degree murder.

Then again, it’s just over a month since her son was killed.
More time will pass before the trial happens. Maybe her mind
will be a bit more settled then.

(She was witness to the audio of the beating tape.)
Indeed, but she was a witness of that before her earlier comment that the shooting was accidental. I think her mind may be more “settled,” after further coaching from the prosecution, that is.

Perhaps it would balance out the witness intimidation and tampering on the part of the Sanford police department.

It will all come down to who has the best argument. If the judge lets it in, then I expect she’s going to get hammered on the stand.
I am sure she will, as will Zimmerman, in that both best be careful that their story is true lest it prove to be inconsistent.

When and where? I don’t recall hearing about anyone changing testimony after intimidation by police. If so, those witness should be discounted, as well.

Exactly my thoughts. It will be interesting to see how the stories match up with the evidence and witness testimonies.

Thanks, but could you quote the pertinent part? The link doesn’t take me directly to the article.
“Another officer corrected a witness after she told him that she heard the teen cry for help. The officer told the witness, a long-time teacher, it was Zimmerman who cried for help, said the witness. ABC News has spoken to the teacher and she confirmed that the officer corrected her when she said she heard the teenager shout for help.”

Thanks. I wonder how this will all play out in court? Trayvon’s father initially said it wasn’t Trayvon, but he changed his mind. When the witness heard the “teen” cry for help, how did she know it was the teen? Was the officer intimidating her or informing her, based on the other accounts? It’s all very interesting.

And Robert Zimmerman also claims it was his brother who was crying for help.

Yes, I recall that as well.

And then there was this lady Mary Cutcher who was an ear-witness, telling to the media that she heard a little boy crying - her exact words. That was rather ridiculous in my opinion. She probably imagined that Trayvon Martin was still the baby-faced 12-year old boy shown all over the media, whereas in reality he was 17-y.o. and 6’3" by this time.

See Mary Cutcher here, talking about the little boy:

So what? I’ve been berated for referring to my teen as “little boy” and he’s by no means little.

Trayvon’s father initially said it wasn’t Trayvon, but he changed his mind.
Source? I’ve been seeing this claim since yesterday…so suddenly we know that his father first said it wasn’t him, but we didn’t know that before?

Why? Because the police supposedly intimidated them? Makes perfect sense.

Going from “it was an accident” to “he stalked and murdered him” isn’t leeway, it is a complete reversal of the narrative. It implies prosecutorial coaching, and when it is all said and done and Zimmmerman is acquitted, I hope the Florida AG drops the hammer on this incompetant prosecutor.
On what planet does a non-witness get to influence the determination of what actually happened? On the one where some are now proposing Z be investigated for canonization, I suppose. I pray for these parents everyday - they’re like bait in a barracuda tank, but God’s got their back…

👍 Totally agree.

One thing I’m curious about, is if she thought her boyfriend was in danger, why she didn’t call the police or at the least his parents trying to get help for him? Instead she tries calling him back and when doesn’t answer does nothing? That part just floors me.

that was the same reaction i had.
Strange, my reaction was: I’m not sure what she means but she’s holding up pretty well under the strain of losing her son and having to deal with all the negativity. I don’t see that she personally has anything except her grief, to be healed of - she was quite clear on TV last night that she doesn’t hate Z.

Whatever healing other psychologically/morally challenged individuals have, it’s up to them to seek God and have Him teach their hearts the true value of a human life. Their healing is not the Martin family’s personal responsibility, though that sure family is sure being generous in contributing to it by their graceful, measured stance.

Trayvon Martin deserves justice whether or not warped individuals choose to cling to their bitterness and spite or to go to God for healing…
