Considering what the Holy Father did when he was Cardinal and head of the CDF, it would be very surprising. These two were at odds during that time. While Mueller is still committed to some of his liberation theology ideas, I think he was brought in for other reasons. Let’s just say he has his plate full already and won’t have much time to institute personal theological preferences.
