U.S. bishops declare national call-in day to urge Congress to save DACA
It is immoral for someone to enter another country illegaly, and it is immoral to reward them for it. DACA rewards illegal entry into this country. This is a Moral issue,
Absolutely unfair! Illegals are in violation of the law (whatever happened to render unto Caesar, you Bishops?)So much for the Church’s authority in matters of faith and morals. That only counts when it aligns with the RNC platforms.
This has to do with the personal opinion of Bishops on a matter of immigration policy. A Bishop who thinks we should reward illegal entry into this country is wrong, and he has no authority to call us to agree with him.So much for the Church’s authority in matters of faith and morals.
Yes we are. Yet there are other laws that Catholics object to and don’t wish to abide by.I won’t be calling that is for sure. Unless I call in to tell them to end it. We are a country of laws.
50% is a high number I would think for people coming from predominantly Catholic countries. Maybe lay Catholics should consider what they could do to keep these folks in the fold rather than being critical of them.Besides many studies have shown the Latino groups that arrive here over 50% join a Protestant church or are “Americanized” in public schools.
No, it is just illegal, but not immoral. It is immoral for someone to enter another country illegaly,
It is never immoral to show mercy.and it is immoral to reward them for it.
The ones it “rewards” are not the same ones who committed the illegal act. They are victims.DACA rewards illegal entry into this country.
