Yes, because you have attacked the individual “wrongly”, while MIZER has NOT attacked you. There is a significant difference. Your claim is totally “invalid”, while MIZER’s IS valid.

In the terms that you may consider one a “Christian” no doubt, but then you are not my “judge”. In the terms you consider one to be a “Christian”… I declare myself not to be one, however in the terms that the Lord Jesus Christ has laid down for his followers … I do. I believe the Holy Scriptures…do you?😃

I note here, that the sum total of your responses have been complete obfuscation and complete dodging of the challenge I put before you and that MIZER put before you…

Are you going to respond to this in the same fashion that you responded to my challenge to you to provide specifics as to your claim of being a “persecuted non-Catholic”?

I am not attacking you…I am merely asking questions, as has MIZER… Why do you not answer?

First, let’s ratchet down a bit. My post was not directed at you personally and, no, I haven’t read all these posts. But I’ve read enough to understand that there is way more heat than light in this exchange. Frankly, when there is this much heat, any potential meaning gets lost in the fog of battle. There’s really nothing in this particular exchange for someone who actually wants to understand the larger issues.

Thanks for clarifying that you were not directing your comments at me personally. I wasn’t really taking them personally. I thought they weren’t warranted, directed at me generally as “pastor” Jim was impugning not only my intelligence but my reputation and I was merely defending myself in as respectful a manner as I could muster. Others have jumped in, probably because they have experienced the same from “pastor” Jim on other threads.

If I have contributed to the heat here it is no doubt the result of my frustration that “pastor” Jim hyjacked my thread and duped me into believing that I was on the brink of a legitimate conversation with a baptist pastor, something I was looking forward to and have for some time and something I would greatly value. He has humiliated me in public proving my initial excitement over this potential exchange to be unwarranted at best and ridiculous at worst.

I am not "having at it, Priori, I am simply defending my honor which “pastor” Jim seems hellbent to tear down. I think you might take issue with him like a parent would an errant child, now that you have all the facts.

Obviously this thread has gone the way of the bin. I appreciate those who have given clarity to my OP and those who have jumped in to defend or support me.

I think at this point “pastor” Jim has given us the perfect illustration as to when we should apply the verse about not arguing with a fool.

I’ll talk to you all again on another thread, at another time.

“pastor” Jim, you are already a part of my prayers for those who follow a path to destruction. I pitty you.

WOW, Pastor Jim, Does this sort of thing come easy for you or do you really have to work at it??

I swear, I cannot for the life of me see where MIZER insulted you personally. I went back and re-read the posts and can’t see it. I saw where he challenged your interpretation of scripture and asked you certain questions but I didn’t see personal insults.

It’s a shame you don’t want to discuss the baptist position rationally because my husband is baptist and I thought I might get some sort of “understanding” of the baptist position and beliefs from a real baptist preacher.

Oh, well…maybe some other time.

I’m at about the point where I’m beginning to actually suspect that you are a “shill” or a “charlatan” pretending to be a Baptist minister.

But I will go so far as to say this… If you are what you have claimed to be… You are a very poor representative of your faith.
