I just wish I could find the maximum speed to getting there without breaking the speed limit.

Yeah, the waiting and suspense can be quite tough. But as we talked before, if she isn’t someone you’d like to keep as a friend anyway, then she’s probably not that great girlfriend material for you, either (but rather someone you find attractive but are otherwise ambivalent about, which does happen quite a lot and you need to be prepared to let go of such fascinations; they won’t stop occurring when you already have a girlfriend and later wife).

So perhaps get to the friends point anyway with or without mentioning that she’s attractive to you. Don’t really worry about the lost emotional investment if it doesn’t work out in terms of romance. When you meet a girl who’s actually interested in you, then you can’t really do anything wrong (in her eyes, that is).
