Several years ago I saw one of those ghost hunting shows where they brought in someone who could supposedly see spirits of the dead. At the time, they were investigating a haunting at a lighthouse. As usual, they said that the spiritualist was not told about the investigation, but was brought in to see if he could “confirm” the haunting.I know a middle aged lady who is a manager at one of my stores, she can see spirits of the deceased, she proved this beyond doubt the first day I met her, she said she has always see these things, even as a child.
Im not sure what she is actually seeing, but it is strange that she says all these spirits appear to be going about their daily lives, like they were not aware they were dead, one man in particular, she said his spirit was doing the same duties he used to do when he was alive in and around the store, but they dont seem to recognize or pay any attention to the living.
Its strange to me that someone would be given a gift like this in the first place, what is the purpose of her being able to see these things?
Well, the spiritualist said he made contact with the spirit of a past lighthouse keeper. There had been other reports of sightings of this lighthouse keeper, who was always seen filling up a bucket with water and carrying it to the lighthouse. This “spirit” reportedly told the psychic that for all eternity he would have to fill the bucket and carry the water----back and forth without end. If true, I can only think that the lighthouse keeper had lived a life of futility, and that was his “sentence”
I have read Catholic mystics who have said those in hell or purgatory suffer according to their sins on earth. For example, if someone was a thief, for all eternity their greatest suffering would be painful hands, etc. This almost sounds like the psychic could have had a true experience–something that would confirm what the afterlife could be like.
