Gigantic finances at the disposition of the Vatican and its Jesuits

As a catholic I want to know how to dispute this:

Author Edmond Paris says that the “gigantic finances at the disposition of the Vatican and its Jesuits” gives Rome power in “so many spheres”–
“…The public is practically unaware of the overwhelming responsibility carried by the Vatican and its Jesuits in the start of the two world wars–a situation which may be explained in part by the GIGANTIC FINANCES at the disposition of the Vatican and its Jesuits, GIVING THEM POWER IN SO MANY SPHERES…” The Secret History of the Jesuits, by Edmond Paris, p. 9; emphases ours).]

Ok first, what are that authors qualifications?

The word ’ gigantic’ doesnt scream professional well educated financier to me
 
According to Wikipedia:Edmond Paris was a French author of works on history, particularly the modern history of the Catholic church.
 
According to the author Philip J. Cohen, Paris was “the author of several rabidly anti-Catholic works.” The journalist Richard West noted that Paris was one of a group of “anti-Catholic polemicists” who used events in the Independent State of Croatia to attack the Catholic Church as a whole.
 
Probably Paris’ source is his own experience. Having travelled widely and being a devout believer to be in close contact with truth and reality, he was thus able to compare what he learnt with what he saw physically.
 
I cant get past the word gigantic. I dont think its worth defending, because i dont think that person is a finance expert. I wouldnt waste my time on that.

The next argument they will prob throw at you is La Famiglia runs the treasury
 
“The Vatican and its Jesuits”…because of course the Jesuits are responsible for how the Vatican spends money.
(The previous sentence is to be heard in a mildly sarcastic tone of voice.)
 
Edmond who??? The burden of proof is on the accuser. He sounds like a loony conspiracy theorist. You’d be better off debating about sasquatch.
 
Gotta go get me some Jesuits, so they can hook me up with GIGANTIC FINANCES and POWER IN SO MANY SPHERES. 😛
