Totally corny but I loved Petticoat Junction and the spin-off Green Acres. I can’t believe I actually had a crush on Eb (the dopey farm-hand). My taste has improved since my teen years.😉

Old TV shows? The Munsters, Gilligan’s Island, and I don’t know if I could name it as an “old TV show” Laverne and Shirley.:rotfl:

I haven’t seen any of my favourite British shows listed…
The Avengers
Dr. Who
Chef!
Monty Python’s Flying Circus (I know it was terribly irreverent, but I always found it hilarious anyway)…
Fawlty Towers…

I also liked:
Get Smart
The Wild, Wild West
The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
and all of the Warner Brothers Cartoons…

I love Fawlty Towers! (I have the book with the scripts for all the episodes). I also love “Are You Being Served?”, “To the Manor Born”, “Keeping Up Appearances”, “Upstairs, Downstairs”, and “Mind Your Language” – but I don’t think of any of them as “old time” TV! "D

And much else besides.

**lately I’ve been getting the A&E DVDs of Danger Man/Secret Agent, an early 60s spy show with Patrick McGoohan that was a sort of prequel to The Prisoner. I tell you it is brilliant and highly entertaining. McGoohan’s character is slick as they come and almost never even carries a gun. and it’s intelligently-written too! Very highly recommended .

Well, at the ripe old age of 36, shows that come from my childhood or earlier count as old-time TV to me.

I guess I’m a little “riper” than you are; my old-time TV comes from before you were born (back when TV was black and white only). 😃 😃

I’m 21, but I grew up watching reruns of old, wholesome classics on tv. My parents were pretty strict about what my sister and I watched on the television, so many modern-day shows at the time were ruled out.

So yeah, I would bring back the old Twilight Zone if I could. The remakes are just awful. Oh yeah, and the Beverly Hillbillies. A new set, with the original theme song on it, is coming out on DVD this Tuesday or Thursday or something. I’m definitely buying it.

There are so many good oldie shows, but those two series are my favorites.

I just thought of one of my old favorites that has not been listed…anyone remember Bill Cosby and Robert Culp??? In “I Spy”?

Does anyone rember watching “Bonanza” when it first came out and thinking “Hoss” was kinda fat? I watched a rerun this afternoon while visiting my mom…we both commeted on how slim he looked! It is just because most everyone is way fatter now! What do you think?
