I have always been a do it myself girl. My dad is a farmer; he raised us girls to not sit around waiting for someone to do things for us. We weren’t allowed to drive unless we knew how to change the oil and a tire!! I have put together everything I have bought, from mowers to shelves. I even had to show a BF in college where to put his windshield wiper fluid in his car (we broke up shortly after; seriously I couldn’t marry someone who couldn’t figure that out). I have always seen this as a positive. I always rolled my eyes at the girls who always had someone else do it for them.
UNTIL TODAY!!!
I am sitting here with a busted lip, with a piece of wet paper towel sticking out my mouth, bump on the head, chipped tooth and a broken $3,000 splint (retainer for those who have TMJ)!!! All because I decided to start the New Year by moving a few things around. YES I KNOW I should have removed the bucket from the top shelf of the cabinet I was moving!!! Never thought if it fell it would go directly on my head
DH is NOT going to be happy about this!!! I am not hurt that I need to go to the Dr right now. Although I will need to go to the dentist to get my tooth fixed
Thankfully it is not so bad that I need to get in NOW, they charged me once for an emergency visit
Learned my lesson, not having dental emergency again!!! I am sure that will pay for my dentist’s next trip to Vegas no matter what!!!
I don’t even want to know what my TMJ Dr is going to say or cost :crying: I have to wear that thing 24/7!!!
Thankfully we have dental insurance, although even the decent dental insurance is not that great
So it took me 30 some years to figure it out, although the bucket knocked it into my head why those girls let someone else do it and for my New Years Resolution, I am becoming one of those girls!!!

OK off to get some aspirin before a headache sets in!!!
Happy New Years everyone!!!
