UNPRECEDENTED CATHOLIC EVENT TO TAKE PLACE IN DALLAS ON MAY 13th

A coalition of devout Catholics organizes a first-ever event in Dallas, Texas! An evening of Eucharistic Worship will be held on Friday, May 13, 2005, at 8 PM C.S.T. at the Cotton Bowl.

This unprecedented gathering will gain national, if not worldwide, attention. It comes during what Pope John Paul II has declared the ‘Year of the Eucharist.’

“We are all very enthusiastic about this great event, and I personally believe this will be a moment in history for Dallas,” stated Bishop Charles V. Grahmann of the Catholic Diocese of Dallas in a letter to all priests.

More than 50-thousand people of all ages and faiths, representing every Continent of the world, are expected to fill the Cotton Bowl in Dallas to Worship Him, during “An Evening of Eucharistic Adoration and Global Living Rosary.” This historic event will usher in a new era, with our Holy Father Benedict XVI, while “Living the Legacy of John Paul II.”

We have more than ten buses going from our parish in Coppell Texas and I am hearing of similiar reports from northern area parishes. Reports are even turning up on the secular media. We are so blessed to have this happening in our back yard. Please join us this evening on EWTN if you cannot physically attend. God bless you all.

Thank you for putting the Global Living Rosary on EWTN. I had heard about it on KSKY, but couldn’t get over to the Cotton Bowl. I was sooo pleased to turn on EWTN and find it there.
Even though I am not a Catholic I have been watching EWTN and getting a lot out of your Bible Studies and presentations from Father Corapi. God bless all of you and allow you to continue to serve God through this ministry.

Siena,

I went with my parish. The adoration and rosary was great. The use of the bus system as the charter service was a minor disaster. A good portion of the folks arrived an hour late to the evening’s event. We missed the music portion and walked in just as they were processing in. It was so great to see so many Catholics gathered together praying the rosary with the bishop, priests, deacons, nuns and other clerics. It was awesome. I do not believe they came anywhere near the 50K predictions. Numbers were the last thing one most peoples minds. As they passed went around the living rosary beads each representative would recite the first part of the “Hail Mary” or “Our Father” in the native language of their home country. It gave me a sense of how Our Mother has reached the world and embraced it and brought it to her son. It was a great night. If you have more questions just ask. I usually check here off and on.

God bless……Randy

Thank you for the update! Since I hadn’t heard much after, I was hoping it hadn’t been a big flop.
