God has conquered me, I surrendered

“Meditate on the Sorrowful Mysteries.” Honestly, I’ve never really prayed those prayers before. Now I want to SO BAD! Especialy the other day when I was in a book store and saw a book called “Visions of Mary.” I really want to pray the rosary now. I’m feeling called to it. Also, I want to go outside at night by myself in a quiet spot and pray it. That’s what my life is lacking, prayer. I need to pray more.

I know this “high” will go away, but oh I don’t want it too, I know that’s selfish, I’m sorry, I can’t help it. I want to go and preach to everyone. But I can’t, I’m not wise in theology, but I am in my actions and perhaps I could preach that way. You know, like St. Francis of Assisi did 🙂 Lol, his writings, and life melt my heart into goo 🙂
You are preaching to everyone who’s reading this.

There was a saint who converted a prince not through theological cleverness, but by repeating “God loves you” to him until he converted.

If God calls you to share your experience, you ought to do so.

Paul shared his.

I’ll instead pray that you will turn to Him before you hit rock bottom. We should never want to hit rock bottom.

God does not want us to suffer. Yes, suffering may come our way.

Could we hit rock bottom? Yes.

Should we hit rock bottom? This question doesn’t even enter into the discussion when it comes to God’s will for us.
I’m not sure what is meant by “rock bottom.” Only that I was in a pit of hell. My sins, my loved ones around me giving up their faith, my sins again, feeling more and more lonley everyday. I even stopped going to mass for a time. And when I did, I was so sad cause I couldn’t take the Lord’s Body and Blood. Is that the feeling of “rock bottom?” I don’t know, but i never want to feel it again.

Then I just starting to think about God, how awesome, beautiful, powerful, loving, and even wrathful (yet a just wrath) He is and I longed to worship Him all the more. I was reading St. Ireanaus, Justin Martyr, and Clement of Alexandria and Rome too. Then boom, my faith sky rocketed. I went to confession, and just kept thinking about God, day and night, His mecry, and love, and how I just wanted to be His. I couldn’t stop.

At Mass last Saturday I even felt frightened during the Eucharist, knowing that Christ my savior was literally there, I kept putting my head down, feeling embaressed of who I am compared to him. And when I took His body and blood, I judst felt . . . I don’t really know, I can’t explain it. Just so happy!

I listen to this metal band called Narnia. They’re Christians. One of their songs goes

"Hand in hand, through the fields of fire

No more shadows from the past, my spirits free, free at last"

The first part reminds me of Jesus taking my hand (also everyones’ hands) and I’m a little child, I look up at Him and He walks me through a flaming enferno, but I’m unharmed cause He’s taking the Hell for me, and saving me. It’s beautiful.

Ok, I got to calm down or I’m going to pass out. 🙂

Ok.

I know what you mean about certain sins that just keep hold on you. It’s depressing. The sins “feel” good, but at the same time bring such horrid misery, and lonliness. That’s how I felt. I’ll pray for you my friend.
We have absolution and mercy waiting for us in the confessional. Then we have the indulgence’s, esp. Divine Mercy Sunday. Now is the time to trust Jesus. Stay close to Him in the Eucharist. Someone mentioned adoration. Perhaps a thankful visit to chapel for the Rosary. But obedience will overcome anything that may try to derail this grace. I’ve been there and I tried to do it alone. I could have made a sign “Jesus Loves You” and stood on a street corner, but the Lord put me back in my place as one of the flock The Spirit blows where it may, so stick with obedience if you find adversity. I’m happy for you 👍 , Tim

I think I understand what you mean by obedience. The more I obey Him and stay in line the happier my spirit feels.

I love you all my brothers and sisters!!!

Hello brothers and sisters. After a long time of struggling with my faith, sinning horribly, and rolling my eyes at God, He finialy crushed my spirit, and tamed me 🙂
God tamed you? What are you, an animal to be tamed? I don’t like this. I’m glad you’re happy, but I’m more glad I’m not in your position.

Lol, heh, yeah I guess you could say that, if you want, if it makes you feel better. Honestly, that comment actually hurt a little. Tallon, you have NO idea the hideous sins I used to commit. I do not confess to be the worst sinner, but the way I was living my life, I don’t even imagine animals to that stature.

Also, what do you mean that you’re glad you are not in my position?? You mean the position I WAS in? Well if so, then I’m glad too. Because it was utter hell. But that is PAST tense, not present. Or are you saying you don’t like the idea of being below God, COMPLETELY submitting yourself to Him, and are happy to do it? Because that is my present state. And if you dislike that then I feel sorry for you.

When I said “tamed” I simply meant He humbled me, took me away from my sins, kicking and screaming if I may say. I am NOT as I used to be. Not so angry as before, not so dominant , not so destructive. So I do feel “tame” and I do like that word and I don’t care if you do not.

Typical RUDE comments like yours, (especialy when it feel you are attacking one iwho s rejoicing because they feel they’ve been set free, and have TURNED away from their sins, and are living a better life BECAUSE of God’s grace) are comments that cause strife. My wife for example, meets hundreds of Catholics like you, and therefore thinks we are all like that, rude, obnoxious, and self-rightoues. “I’m glad I’m not in your position” Yeah, thanks alot man.

PLEASE forgive me if I misunderstood your post, but that’s how I took it.

God bless you.

Sorry that comment hurt. I was just rather shocked.

Anyway, I’m glad to hear you’re better.

You’re not weak. It takes great strength to submit to the will of the Lord, and I think you’re wonderful! :hug1:

:blessyou:
