Yes, but what you need to understand is that there are different kinds of ‘presence’, different kinds of ‘being there’.And another thing…I thought we were always in the presence of God…this concept is very new to me.
I must admit…I always wounderd why the bible says “when two or more are gatherd in my name,there I am in there midst”.

My mother, for example, is ‘there’ to me whenever we write to each other. That’s a different kind of presence to the way that she is there when we talk on the phone, and a different kind of ‘being there’ again from when I see her face to face. Of course she is ‘there’ in all those situations, but wouldn’t you say seeing her face to face is a special way of ‘being there’ that I don’t get in any of the other ways?
