Because that’s a silly presupposition. Why would we need to speak a certain language to follow our Lord? There is neither Jew nor Greek, remember? (Galatians 3:28)why don’t you speak aramaic or hebrew since yall claim to imitate or be like Jesus eh?
Also, for the record some of us DO speak Aramaic. These are the Aramaean (Syriac/Assyrian/Chaldean) Christians. And Hebrew-background Christians or the Hebraically-interested among us may speak Hebrew.
How are they the names of their real origin if the people you are refering to weren’t Arabic-speakers?So I use the names of their real origin…is it a sin?
I don’t think this is the issue here. I can usually make sense of them, but it is pretty annoying regardless. I don’t use the Russian names for Jesus or the books of the Bible or add Russian language phrases to my posts even though I could. If I were to do that, I would guess that people would probably stop reading my posts, because it is disrespectful to the dialogue we are supposed to be having here to constantly code-switch for any reason. I realize that you as a Muslim have religious reasons for adding honorifics after certain names, but you do so here at the expense of cohesiveness in your posts. If after everytime I wrote the name Jesus I had to add (Lord of the World, Son of the Father, Judge of the Living and the Dead), you would probably eventually skip over my posts. You would probably do so even more quickly if all of that was in a language that you don’t understand. No they are easy and understandable. If they aren’t I usually put the translation next to it as you have seen in my other posts. sheesh. and the names we have used over and over and over again.
Or, y’know…you could stop yelling at us like you are doing in that very sentence. Is like if someone doesn’t understand something it isn’t as if they can’t ask IN A NICE WAY. picky
Do you have a link to back up this assertion? The Online Etymology Dictionary does not agree, and having studied Proto Indo-European quite a bit in the past myself, I can’t agree with that either. In old version of Encycolpedia Britannica that God word (etymology) comes from the Gothic God of the Woods (Woden). The Goths are Gog and Magog and God is the name of their God not the One God." Go figure
I don’t see any reason to believe that based on the evidence presented so far. Please see my previous post in this thread regarding the questions as to what “say he is Allah” might mean. Perhaps you can answer what Sister Amy has not.Allah is the name our Creator uses for Himself.
