Why did God create the universe? God has always existed, and will always exist. Why then did he feel the need to create the universe? Was he not content with just continuing to exist as a “trinity” ?
Genesis tells us that God created the world and saw that it was was “good,” Chap 1 and 2. Chapter 3 then tells us that God created a “serpent that was more subtle than any other wild creature that the Lord had made.” Why?
The creation of this “serpent” resulted in original sin which then produced untold misery and suffering for countless generations and will, presumably continue, until the second coming of Jesus.
Couldn’t all this suffering, and Jesus’ sacrificial death, have been avoided simply by not creating the universe in the first place? Or am I looking at creation from the wrong angle?
