Yeah, the song (the version sung during the movie, not by Demi Lovato) needs to be taken in context. In the movie, Elsa was giving well meaning, but bad advice by her parents to hide herself from everyone, including her sister - who was her best friend.
She allowed fear rule her life and those “right and wrong rules” we’re the rules she was living by (which she talks with her father about and then are in the song:
Don’t let them in, don’t let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
This song (full lyrics are here
azlyrics.com/lyrics/idinamenzel/letitgo.html) is a great example of teaching our kids how to read in context (which is something kids don’t learn anymore, as they take everything at face value).
She not saying no right no wrong in a moral sense, but that she no longer has to live by the rules which bounded her to a life of fear.
For the most part, Disney removed the dark elements of her character to emphasize Elsa was simply a nice person living in fear.
Granted, some people have claimed that it’s a metaphor for homosexuality, but it isn’t. It’s a metaphor for anyone living with something about themselves they are ashamed of and trying to hide from the world. It eats them up on the inside.
Honestly, I think Frozen has lots of Christian & Catholic social & family teaching lessons if we look closely and read everything in its proper context.
God Bless
