“If you say that we should not pray because God already knows our needs, then you must say that we should not farm or eat or read for the same reason.”--Peter Kreeft “The God Who Loves Us”

60-And your Lord says, “Call upon Me(Pray); I will respond to you.” Ghafir(40)
And there are many verses about to pray.
Muslims open their hands and pray God at least 5 times a day. I do not say pray has no affect. But the issue of pray is not just to change something. It is also the mark of our adhesion for God to know that God only can change and act anything. That is interest in faith. God create and act in universe but not something else and not mindless powers or random chances.
Sometimes you pray very much but you do not see the conclusion of it. In that case you cannot say God did not hear me. God do hear every pray but to accept is belong to His wisdom, mercy, decision. Even if you do not have the conclusion on the world but you will have more good award in the next life.
I do always pray. When I do not get conclusion of my pray so I do not say God did not accept. Instead I say I should do more pray.
