What a lovely example of cherry picking. As a former Pentecostalist, I believe I know what you are trying to tell us poor benighted Catholics, but you’re wrong. We Catholics wrote the NT, compiled the books of the Bible, decided on the canon, translated it into every known language, kept it safe, copied it all through the Dark Ages and used it to spread the Gospel to the whole world. The Bible is the Catholic Church’s book. It is the witness to the Church’s validity and mission. It was compiled to be read in our liturgies (what you call “services”). It is revered and loved and trusted and read daily by millions of Catholics around the world. And all because the Church preserved it and promoted it. Aren’t you glad to learn all that? Now you don’t have to worry that we Catholics know nothing about the Bible nor that we don’t live by it or know it. We do.

You’re right! The Catholic Mass and the Lutheran divine service in every part, are based on scripture. The LCMS’s newist service book provides scripture references for every part of the liturgy.
