God is the originator of the word. The sole proprietor, the one who gives life to the words in the bible.
Mar 4:14 The sower soweth the word. (God)
Mar 4:15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. (IN passing)
Mar 4:16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
Mar 4:17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are
offended.
Mar 4:18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Mar 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Mar 4:20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
These are they is referencing the effect of the word on the heart based on eternal pressures.
Where in all of that is there any mention of belonging to an earthly organization when all of it has to do with the heart?
Rather, when born again, as Jesus pointed out, one becomes a son of God, a member of the heavenly Kingdom, a member of Christ’s spiritual church found only in the heart.
The word, God’s word deals with the heart of mankind, not with the external behavior.
Gods word then has life, for in it one can find life in God.
The church/churches,synagogues, Mosques, assembly’s, temples are but mere places of worship based on what is in the heart.
If God is first not in the heart, worship in any place is in vain.
Blessings, AJ
“generously shared”? Hmmmm…perhaps you ought to read up on how difficult it was to print the word without prosecution?Once again, not quite, I’m afraid. The Bible isn’t the “property” of all mankind. It belongs to the Church. And just as anyone who owns anything, it has been generously shared with the world by the Church. However, the Church is responsible for it and is the sole interpreter regarding matters of faith and morals (doctrine and dogma).
