God is the originator of the word. The sole proprietor, the one who gives life to the words in the bible.
Once again, not quite, I’m afraid. The Bible isn’t the “property” of all mankind. It belongs to the Church. And just as anyone who owns anything, it has been generously shared with the world by the Church. However, the Church is responsible for it and is the sole interpreter regarding matters of faith and morals (doctrine and dogma).
“generously shared”? Hmmmm…perhaps you ought to read up on how difficult it was to print the word without prosecution?

Mar 4:14 The sower soweth the word. (God)

Mar 4:15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. (IN passing)

Mar 4:16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

Mar 4:17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are
offended.

Mar 4:18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Mar 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Mar 4:20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

These are they is referencing the effect of the word on the heart based on eternal pressures.

Where in all of that is there any mention of belonging to an earthly organization when all of it has to do with the heart?

Rather, when born again, as Jesus pointed out, one becomes a son of God, a member of the heavenly Kingdom, a member of Christ’s spiritual church found only in the heart.

The word, God’s word deals with the heart of mankind, not with the external behavior.

Gods word then has life, for in it one can find life in God.

The church/churches,synagogues, Mosques, assembly’s, temples are but mere places of worship based on what is in the heart.

If God is first not in the heart, worship in any place is in vain.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” —2nd Timothy 3:16

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalm 68:011 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

Psalm119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: **for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. **

Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art
judged.

Mar 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Pro 13:13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing** by the word of God. **

Jhn 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Jhn 6:58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: **not as your fathers did eat **manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

John 3:20 reads, “For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.”

Jesus said, “I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world” -John 17:14.

2nd Timothy 3:1-7 reads, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2Cr 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

Jhn 4:24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.

Jhn 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth:** thy word is truth. **
I have all those scriptures in my Bible. 👍

Anybody wonder what ever happened to the OP?
To troll or not to troll . . .

I have all those scriptures in my Bible. 👍
I knew of some folks who has a bible in their book shelf.
Well, when someone went to get it, it was full of dust from the years being untouched.

Now here is the moral of your quote above: Sure you have them in your bible, but what good are they to you?

Are you understanding them and if you are, are you applying them to your life?

Thats where the rubber meets the road.

The word, is that something like Nancy Polosi talked about?

Well, also don’t know. 😉

Maybe he’s on holiday?

**Look - I’m all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but he has been posting on other threads as late as yesterday afternoon, so I don’t think he’s been on holiday . . .

Right then. Well, then he simply wanted to show you Catholics that he knows the Bible or so! 😉

A bit of…a jibe or taunt? Nah, not with God loving people.

From my side? No, not at all! Or what do ya mena now?

No, just kidding. Nothing else in my last post.

I am myself a reborn Christian, so I would never jibe or taunt a brother in Christ!

Thank you.
:hmmm: I was thinking the same thing…Maybe he was surprised that anyone here knew the Bible? (It happens…There are those who are just certain that only the “Happy Few In Cloudcuckoo Land” have ever opened theirs…and :frighten: :frighten: :frighten:run when they find out the opposite).:twocents:

.Maybe he was surprised that anyone here knew the Bible?>>>Zooey
Knowledge is one thing, understanding is another.

Jam 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Am I not entitled to an opinion? If I have anything of value, even if it gets some to think outside the box, wouldn’t that be something to encourage?

I mean, restricting to a set of dogmas and anything outside that is condemnation?

If God can not be in us indwelling, guided by His Holy Spirit, then perhaps we need perimeters?

Is that something like what you are afraid of, venturing out of those perimeters?

It is in the trying that any gain can be achieved.

It always makes me chuckle when non-Catholics assume that the church doesn’t teach its members about Scripture.

**Seeing how the Catholic Church wrote, compiled and declared canon the entire NT - wouldn’t it make sense that its member were at least somwhat familiar with Scripture? It’s the the Catholic Church that has been the custodian of God’s sacred word since the first century. She has guarded the Holy Deposit of faith from the beginning (1 Timothy 6:20).

To be a Catholic is to be fed spiritually, intellectually and physically. How wonderful is our God to have given us such a Mother as the Catholic Church which includes all the faithful throughout the ages, both those in heaven and those on earth. Praise be to God!

And we both know how many will deny every word you said.

Anti is only in your view.

My aim is to reveal by sharing what I know and understand to be in the word of God.

Now, like everything else, one can decide not to respond to any of it.

But there are some that might want to look at it with interest.

Obviously, if anyone wants to shut me down is because they fear for their own spiritual safety.

I have conversed with non-believers, Atheist, Satanists and all other types of beliefs without being threaded spiritually.

You see, I am grounded in the foundation that Jesus Christ laid, of in which I shall not be moved.

And of course, its all right in there, in the book…the word.

Chuckling is within your choice.

I, take my view seriously and laugh at no one’s view, however simple or complicated.

God bless you! That’s your choice and are secure in your thoughts.

I have no problem with that at all.
