For the most part it doesn’t work like that. You do the work you are assigned or you find a different profession. The exceptions are those who work by contract such as actors. They have some flexibility as to what work they choose to take but that is limited by how much their agent is willing to put up with before they get dropped.

Just like if no nurses or receptionists or janitors or whoever would work in abortion clinics, there would be no abortions. The ‘little people’ do make a difference! If they would all boycott the bad stuff, we would see a change. Case in point, the current writer’s strike. It’s not for a moral reason, but still, it’s brought Hollywood to it’s knees. Same principle could be applied to all the shows, all the time. If no one ran the camera or the lights, or put the set, or whatever, during a sex scene, that scene couldn’t happen.

And why are entertainers so special that they need all these awards? I don’t see teachers and nurses and firemen and priests getting awards for their work, which is MUCH more important.

There aren’t very many moral movies and TV shows because there’s no money in it, nobody wants to pay for it, even Christians.

So, we’re stuck with NASCAR 🤷

Hmmm… I don’t know about that, I guess it depends on your definition of family movies.

Again my point. I hear a lot of complaining about Hollywood and their pretentious show of decadence, but everyone still watches.

Because we pay entertainers much more than nurses and firemen.
