This is just a ridiculous bashing of a man due to your visceral hatred of him.
This is my problem with Trump supporters. They take something that reasonable people can disagree about and use that as evidence of so called Trump “hatred”. Of course, the whole concept of hatred is meaningless, because anyone who dislikes any little thing about Don get’s accused of hatred. There is nothing wrong with hatred, as Trump supporters define the term. If someone hated Trump in the catechism definition of the term, there might be a point. But hatred is just a means to attack those who disagree with you.

We can all disagree with the “properness” of making the queen walk around you. I’ll even go further than that, pretty much all of us AGREE with the improperness of it. He made a mistake.

But the way that some here conflate this to an enormous international debacle that PROVES their point that Trump is unfit…that is called Trump Derangement Syndrome, and stems from the visceral hatred of him.

Once again comparing Obama - many of us disagreed with virtually everything he did as a President. I think he will go down in history as as bad or worse than Carter… But I’ve never attacked Barack Hussein Obama personally. I think he’s a good man, just wrong-headed.

Most of the attacks on Trump I see here are against him personally. Calling him stupid because of the way he speaks, inferring that he is unable to read, calling him racist, etc.

Those are personal attacks based on a visceral hatred for the man.

Ok, who here has said that it has singularly made him unfit for office? Now, people criticized Obama for many things, he bowed to the emperor in Japan, he bowed to one of the Saudi royals, he once said there were 57 states and there was plenty of people discussing those gaffs. I don’t recall anyone accusing his critics of hatred. Or of having Obama derangement syndrome.

The thing I find interesting is that there seems to be a double standard here. Donald has called Chuck Schumer a clown, he has called Elizabeth Warren Pocahantas and many other people a variety of names. You don’t see Trump supporters calling him out for these acts of hatred. Yet let someone call him Cheeto and it is like you accused him of molesting children. Personally, I don’t call him names. There are plenty of things to criticize him for besides his intelligence or his skin tone. But I can’t fault people for being a bit nasty when he clearly has no problem doing that himself.

Why are you conflating your lack of protocol and your experience with trumps? It makes no sense
There is constructive criticism and subjective. You are taking everything said about trump here in a very subjective way, and passively aggressively then going on the attack.

Yes.

Weren’t there discussions of Obama giving DVD’s in the wrong format to the then British PM?

That was hate?

I started a thread about the Pocahontas fiasco. Lots of replies defended him.

Native Americans find offense in the name Pocahontas being used as a slur.

He did it anyway.

And he got defended too.

Why can’t we ever point out these things that he does?

Last year he pushed the PM of Montenegro out of the way for a photo.

Why do I have to pretend that’s just fine?

We don’t have to pretend it’s fine. It’s poor optics, and that does count for something on the world stage.

However most of us who (held our nose and) voted for him don’t care about these types of mistakes. They don’t really matter.

Isn’t it hard to breathe holding your nose for a year and a half?

I’m not offended by his lack of protocol towards the Queen. He is an interesting character.
I thought he rebutted Robert de Niro quite well. Saying he had spent too many rounds in the boxing ring during Raging Bull. Those Hollywood elites have lost touch with reality way more than Trump.

I won’t speak for everyone who held their nose and voted for him, but I am VERY glad that I did. Refer to my above posting to the OP.

It doesn’t matter to me that he stepped in front of the Queen.

It matters that he is putting two originalists on the SCOTUS.

It matters to me that he is deconstructing Obama (and others) regulatory burdens.

It matters to me that I get to keep more of my money so I can use it in the way I consider “good” instead of the way some bureaucrat considers “good”.

It matters to me that we have a President who uses the bully pulpit to push back against leftist ridiculousness.

It matters to me that we have a President who may fight against government elitism…I still have some hope that Hillary will go to prison for breaking the law while endangering those in the intelligence service.

Those things matter to me, and on those fronts President Trump is delivering. I no longer have to hold my nose.

I do, however, certainly “cringe” when I hear him speak. I’ll take it.

His blustery style of saying straightforwardly what he means–i like that. I am soooo tired of the pretentious euphemistic linguistic activities engaged in by the majority of our elected representatives.
That is refreshing I agree and that is why he is popular. People are tired of stage-managed politicians who say nothing of consequence.

As a classic liberal and a fiscal conservative I could not and did not vote for Trump as I thought he was a graceless boor. I also could not in good conscience vote for Hillary. I voted third party.

Having said that I am glad and relieved that Trump, won and not Hillary. He is what he is and his election was a big middle finger by the working class to the chattering class and to the political elite, both Democrats and Republicans.

The majority of support for Trump came from the people in the flyover states especially the Rust Belt, who have been not only neglected by the elites but forced to pay higher and higher taxes while losing jobs to outsourcing. To add insult to injury they are also ridiculed by Hillary and called deplorables.

Why would they vote for a party that is contemptuous of them?
