:hug3: Please do not leave, I like you, I always enjoy your posts, thank you! 🙂

Please do not pay attention to the people that dislike tradition, the EF, or those who downgrade a thread just because it is about the TLM. Just pray for them. Do not let them run you off. Hang in there. Please stay. God bless.

If you can’t handle negativity, challenges to your opinions, or pushback from others on this forum, how will you handle these things in the world?

Something to think about.

If a person is burnt out then it is time for a change or at least a vacation to rest up.
You can continue to read the posts.
Then if you may feel different and want to join us again.
Your always welcome.

May God bless and keep you. May God’s face shine on you. May God be kind to you and give you peace.

Not sure what happened, but I understand why might want to go. Whatever you decide, I wish you well.

That’s typical in this place especially for anyone who sounds “mean” or loves the EF. You can’t start a thread on here about how much yu love the EF without having some of the more sensitive crowd showing up and demanondijg us to say that the OF and eastern litrugies are equal and the norm. Yeah we know that! The whole point for the traditional section was for those who enjoyed traditional practices to come together and chat but insteads it’s been hijacked by sensitive folks who basically act as the forum police and act as if they know more than others. It’s really sad. Keep your head up don’t let this site eat you up as it almost did me. Belove it or not this forum can be a poison to your faith if you let it.
Partly why I rarely post in this specific forum anymore and when I do it’s very limited in the subject matter. The constant requirement to qualify posts to preventatively defend anyone and everyones possible assumptions if you don’t is frankly tiring.

This id the exact thing I am talking about. Did I ever say that? Eastern practices have their own section! Just to let you know I happen to attend a Ukrainian catholic liturgy once a month.
You didn’t help your case when you criticized people for saying Eastern Liturgies are equal to the Tridentine Mass, which they are. I’m a Latin trad, and get frustrated by the trad bashing and OF sensitivity types around here, but when trads make comments that seemingly disparage the East, can you not see why folks would get offended? The TLM is not supreme to the Eastern liturgies.

I do not want to single out spartan_cop. I’m taking advantage of the statement below, because it is a commonly held misconception about the purpose of TC forum.

CLARIFICATION

TC forum is a place where anyone can discuss Catholic traditions and customs that do not fit into one of the other forums.

It must be clearly understood that it is not a traditionalist only forum, nor an EF only forum. The Ordinary Form of the mass is as much part of Catholic tradition as are the other forms and rites. Throughout history, there have always been elements in Catholicism that were new once-upon-a- time. That does not make them any less a part of our faith tradition given time. We expect people to refer to it and to those who attend the OF with respect. We also expect those who are not attracted to the Extraordinary Form of the mass to speak of it and those who are attracted to it with respect and kindness. This also goes for the other rites in the Latin and Eastern Churches.

There are other subjects that are equally important to Catholicism and form part of our rich heritage such as:
  • different schools of spirituality,
  • forms of prayer and devotions,
  • religious communities,
  • Church history,
  • saints,
  • Church law,
  • Judeo-Christian history and traditions,
  • great works of Catholic writing and much more.
I have been closing threads on veiling, because if one does a search, there are many threads on this subject and dress codes throughout our forums. Those threads have answers to questions that people may have.

Remember, TC forum is for the purpose of education. Discussions should lead to knowledge. It should be a place where people help each other to find answers, not a place to complain about the Church, bishops, Vatican II, the liturgy, pope or anything else that we dislike.

If I allow this, very quickly we lose those people who come seeking answers. These good people usually have had enough complaining and conflicts in their current situations and are looking to the Church and to us for a safe haven.

Everyone, please keep this in mind.

Thank you 👍

Please tell me when I ever did that?

I just wanted to say bye. I usually post here but, I guess not many people on the forums like me. I don’t think I will be posting on here anymore or at least not for a while. I might go to FishEaters (we’ll see). But, please pray for my discernment as I will be praying for you. Ave Maria. Pax Christi.
Blessings to you and remain close to Him always. We must be true to ourkrd as it is Him whom we serve. If you in good conscience are doing so the. You have no need to be concerned

My love in Christ,
mlz
