Why? Trump deserves fierce criticism.I was suspicious of Romney’s fierce criticism of Trump.

me too. Romney had his chance in 2012.I was suspicious of Romney’s fierce criticism of Trump.
He has a right to run. The voters don’t have to vote for him.me too. Romney had his chance in 2012.
He isnt running, like all elitist, he wants to be anointed. He has a right to run. The voters don’t have to vote for him.
And maybe a chance to win in 2016. He is certainly the most qualified and most presidential of all the candidates. He is one of the few politicians that ran out of true love for our country. He doesn’t make outrageous promises. I don’t believe he is after power. And he is honest.me too. Romney had his chance in 2012.
Good question. It makes a difference.Filed by Romney or filed by someone else?
Nothing against Romney, Ryan, or any other moderate who might be “parachuted in” but I think the establishment should get behind Cruz. We can’t afford a war between the GOPe and the right-wing. It was just an address update. He hasn’t filed to run for president. I don’t think he has any intention of doing so.Just when you thought a once honorable political party could not get anymore dysfunctional!
I have seen them and noted the ones that are straight from the Dems play book. Others are fabrications of what the liberals would have us believe about the GOP? As an aside, many of the Republicans say that recent candidates have been too moderate. It would be interesting to see what they would do with a real conservativNothing against Romney, Ryan, or any other moderate who might be “parachuted in” but I think the establishment should get behind Cruz. I’m not sure what will cure the Repub party’s wounds, since they keep re-opening them. Arguably (and some do so capably) Romney lost because too many ideologically “pure” Repubs stayed home and wouldn’t vote. So we got four more years of leftist politics.Governor Romney was the choice of the establishment in 2012, so it’s not surprising that they would want him again given that they don’t like what the rank and file are selecting.
Hilarious, that’s … Hilarious.:clapping:Prepare to laugh hard, as the next eight years promise to be Hillarious.
I think, based on what has happened to their own party, it’s tempting for Republicans to want to see the Democrats as deeply fractured as well, but the fact is, they just aren’t.I think we are living in a time were we could realistically see the Presidential nominee of both parties be people who didn’t run in the primaries. Obviously, the GOP doesn’t want either Trump or Cruz to be their standard bearer, but just as obviously, the Democrat Party doesn’t want Sanders to be theirs. If Hillary continues to falter, look for a push to get the superdelegates to decline to vote for either, throwing the nomination to Biden, or perhaps, Elizabeth Warren. Both could be trusted to continue both parties Wall Street-centric policies.
Excellent post. I agree wholeheartedly. It doesn’t matter. If Trump lacks the delegate count for nomination, neither he nor Cruz will be nominated. As appalled as the old guard GOP is with Trump, they absolutely loathe Cruz and he will not get the nomination either.
What will in fact happen, is (1), the party elite is going to is going to nominate who they want, even in the face of GOP voters who clearly do not want a tradition Republican to run, but more importantly, (2), the GOP is so dysfunctional, and has inflicted so much damage on itself that they will lose the bid for a Republican White House regardless of who (Hillary, Bernie, or the Easter Bunny) the Democrats nominate.
